Geee
CNS News: (CNSNews.com) - The special Accountability Review Board set up by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to investigate the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, confirmed that there was nothing “unusual” taking place outside the mission in the hours before the attack, that there was no protest, and that the attack started suddenly when security cameras detected dozens of men, many of them armed, swarming through one of the gates of the compound. The board's report, released Tuesday, also says that the U.S. mission in Benghazi was in communication with Washington, D.C., as the attack was unfolding. Despite the fact that the eyewitnesses interviewed by the Accountability Review Board said there was no protest, and the scene was caught by security cameras, and the mission was in communication with Washington almost instantly, U.S. government officials, including then-CIA Director David Petraeus and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice would state days later that there had been a protest. Geee
CNS News: (CNSNews.com) - The special Accountability Review Board that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton set up to investigate the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, says that among the leaders of the 2011 Libyan revolution that President Barack Obama backed with U.S. military force—but without congressional authorization—were Benghazi-based jihadists who had fought against the United States in Iraq. The report describes post-revoluationary Benghazi as a “a lawless town ... in reality run by a diverse group of local Islamist militias” that had a long history of violent antagonism toward the United States. “Jihadis from Benghazi engaged in Afghanistan against the Soviets and took up arms against U.S. forces in the post-2003 Iraq insurgency,” says the report. “Many of them reemerged in 2011 as leaders of anti-Qaddafi militias in eastern Libya.”
Draggingtree
The Great Benghazi Butt-Fumble – If The US State Dept Were An NFL Franchise Incompetent People, Like Evil Ones, Ultimately Kill The Ones That Rely On Them By: Repair_Man_Jack (Diary) | December 19th, 2012 at 12:00 PM Sometimes professional sports provide us the perfect metaphor for the utterly Darwinist and unfair world into which we all are hurled at birth. Those who do well, work together. They go all-in like brothers-at-arms and never accept less than the best. All right! That does it! RANT We may not have effective leadership at the State Dept. They may not listen to their ambassador when tells them Pre-Modern barbarians are trying to (BLEEPING) KILL HIM! This may be because of management deficiencies (at senior levels even) and because of the fact that our security personnel went ON STRIKE BEFORE THE ATTACK and we didn’t do Jack to fix this situation. But we wouldn’t want to, you know, FIRE anybody. That would cause too much butt-hurt. People’s resumes would look bad. You know, like Chris Stevens’ resume – now that he’s dead and you have to DIG HIM THE (BLEEP) UP for an interview you troglodytic schmucks! Draggingtree
MCCAIN, GRAHAM AND AYOTTE: Critical questions still unanswered on Benghazi By Sens. John McCain, Lindsey Graham and Kelly Ayotte Saturday, December 22, 2012 Susan Rice withdrawal will not end scrutiny With U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice’s withdrawal from consideration for the position of secretary of state, some have assumed that Congress will now be less insistent on a full accounting of the facts surrounding the Sept. 11, 2012, terrorist attack in Benghazi that resulted in the murder of four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens. This is wrong, for one simple reason: The president of the United States is ultimately responsible for the safety of Americans serving our nation overseas. Regardless of whom the president nominates for national security positions in his administration, the American people deserve to know what happened three months ago in Benghazi - and why. The release this week of the State Department's Accountability Review Board (ARB) shows widespread failure within Mr. Obama’s administration. Contrary to Mrs. Rice’s assertion after the attack, the ARB found that security at the diplomatic mission in Benghazi was “grossly inadequate” - the result of “systemic failures” of leadership and management. The report thoroughly discredits the administration’s narrative - pushed for two weeks after the attack - that the murder of four Americans was a result of a “spontaneous” protest to an offensive video. Draggingtree
Where's Hillary? 9:37 AM, Dec 26, 2012 • By DANIEL HALPER On December 15, the day after the day after the shooting at a school in Newtown, Connecticut, State Department officials notified the press that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had fallen ill. "While suffering from a stomach virus, Secretary Clinton became dehydrated and fainted, sustaining a concussion," deputy assistant secretary Philippe Reines said in a statement to the press. So, what's Hillary Clinton's status? Her situation is serious enough to sideline her for two weeks, but we still don't know what's going on. How serious is it? Does it prevent her carrying out the secretary of state duties? Clinton has long-planned to step down as secretary of state "days" after Inauguration Day. The question is, where's Hillary and will we even see her before she leaves office? http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/wheres-hillary_692014.html

From evil Fox News State Department official who 'resigned' after Libya findings reportedly staying on payroll December 26, 2012 A State Department security chief who was said to have resigned last week after the release of a scathing report about security lapses at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi in the run-up to the terror attack that killed four Americans reportedly is still on the department's payroll. The New York Post reports that Eric Boswell, the assistant secretary of state for diplomatic security, has not resigned from the department, as a State Department spokeswoman indicated Dec. 19. Boswell is instead just "switching desks," according to the report. Three other State Department officials, including Charlene Lamb, the deputy assistant secretary responsible for embassy security, were placed on administrative leave after the release of the report. However, according to the Post they are expected to return. (Snip) Gosh...never saw that one coming!!!

Only the maker of that irrelevant video is in jail. snip Eric Boswell, the assistant secretary of state for diplomatic security, has not resigned from the department, as a State Department spokeswoman indicated Dec. 19. Deputy Assistant Secretaries Charlene Lamb and Raymond Maxwell, and a third who has not been identified, were placed on administrative leave after the release of the report. However, according to the Post, they are expected to return. They were found to have shown "performance inadequacies" but not "willful misconduct." Draggingtree
Beyond Benghazi: questions for Clinton By JOHN BOLTON Last Updated: 3:37 AM, December 27, 2012 Posted: 12:31 AM, December 27, 2012 The State Department’s Accountability Review Board last week issued a devastating report on the events leading up to the Sept. 11 assassination of four Americans at our Benghazi consulate. Unfortunately, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has still not faced questioning by Congress or the media more than three months after the tragedy. snip The Benghazi tragedy disproved all these assertions, and Clinton is accountable for the broad policy failures, not just the deadly specifics. Congressional hearings should go well beyond the ARB report. The basic questions Clinton now must answer are straightforward: What did she know; when did she know it — and what did she do about it, before, during and after the Sept. 11 attacks? Here are some elaborations: snip http://www.nypost.com/p/news/opinion/opedcolumnists/beyond_benghazi_questions_for_clinton_iPokjZYDz6wpgH8rPpVzKL

The lying continues December 28, 2012 By Boston Herald editorial staff There is something particularly ugly in a democratic society when government officials lie — or in the case in point, tell half-truths. Last week in the wake of a damning report on how some State Department officials handled the security situation at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi prior to and after Sept. 11, it was announced that four officials had resigned. Well, at least that’s what most of us thought they had announced. This is the way State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland put it: that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton “has accepted Eric Boswell’s decision to resign as assistant secretary for diplomatic security, effective immediately. The other three individuals (deemed responsible by the Accountability Review Board) have been relieved of their current duties.” But, it turns out that Boswell was merely switching desks http://bostonherald.com/news_opinion/opinion/editorials/2012/12/lying_continues
Draggingtree
#BENGHAZI: “Sloppiness” and Susan Rice – Again. December 30, 2012 | Filed under 9/11,Barack Obama,Libya | Posted by Lady Liberty I’m beginning to think this President is at worst, a pathological liar or at best, Bipolar. A month ago, he was barking like a junkyard dog in defense of Susan Rice, after admitting he sent her out to lie to the nation. Now we get this from Obama on Benghazi (via MSNBC): GREGORY: In the politics, in the back and forth in this, do you feel like you let your friend Susan Rice hang out there to dry a little bit? PRESIDENT OBAMA: No. First of all, I think I was very clear throughout that Susan has been an outstanding U.N. ambassador for the United States. She appeared on a number of television shows reporting what she and we understood to be the best information at the time. This was a politically motivated attack on her We all now know that both of you knew at the time you set her out to the talk show circuit that what she was telling the nation was a lie.
