Sorry I'm sticking with the Super Magnet

Garage Logic

The supermagnet Theory:

A huge electro-magnet will be placed above the geographical center of the Continental United States. One day, the switch is thrown, and ALL of America's handguns are collected for proper disposal. Until this magnet is constructed, no effort at gun control should be attempted. There are some concerns over replacement hips, tricycles, and other magnetic objects.

NRA: Bring the whole family to the largest gun show in the D.C. area this weekend

The National Rifle Association is promoting the largest gun show in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area this weekend at the Dulles Expo center in Chantilly, Virginia.

The event – dubbed the “Nation’s Gun Show” – is expecting higher than normal turnout and over 1000 tables of gun vendors and displays.

“If you are a fan of American history and great handguns – you won’t want to miss what’s in store for this show,” reads the announcement sent to NRA members.

Oh This should be interesting! thumbsup.gif

Senate leaders consider state funding for teacher gun training

By Mike Ward

American-Statesman Staff

Texas Senate leaders are considering a proposal to provide state-funded special training for school employees with handgun licenses as a way to protect students from “active shooters,” officials confirmed Friday.

Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst said no decision has been made, but if eventually approved, it could work like this:

School districts that authorize teachers or employees to carry guns on school campuses — as current state law allows — would be given “special training in cases of an active shooter” at state expense to ensure they would be properly equipped to handle such an emergency.Scissors-32x32.pnghttp://www.statesman.com/news/news/state-regional-govt-politics/senate-leaders-consider-state-funding-for-teacher-/nTnLL/
