WASHINGTON — Victims of the Fort Hood shooting are rallying in a grassroots effort to get the rampage classified as an act of terrorism.

A coalition of 160 victims and family members released a video Thursday detailing what happened at the Texas military base on Nov. 5, 2009, and why they believe it was a terror attack.

In “The Truth About Fort Hood,” victims give testimonials about their experience and express their frustration at the government calling the incident “workplace violence.”

Obama Admin Denies Benefits to Victims Of Hasan's 'Workplace Violence'

Because the Obama Administration refuses to classify the Ft. Hood shooting as a "terrorist act, " the victims and heroes are unable to collect the additional benefits (including purple hearts) that they would had it not been classified "workplace violence."

This administration goes to great lengths to protect Obama's lie about terrorism being defeated. Can't be recognizing it in our own backyard.

Terrorism? Aren't you being a little judgmental? Remember one mans terrorist is another person's freedom fighter. In one culture we say Gays should not be allowed to marry, and in another they get hanged or stoned. Hard to tell the difference. In one culture poor young woman get send to bad schools, in another they get shot, no real difference.

I stand corrected. Should have said Islamic baddy.

I tweet with a liberal lawyer and I am waiting for a response to my question to her. 'As a lawyer can you defend not calling Ft Hood a terrorist act?'

Baddie? You're still being Judgmental! You've got to get rid of these silly standards of good, Bad, Right, Wrong. If you don't do it yourself, I'm afraid it's off the the reeducation camps.

New Push to Reclassify Fort Hood Shooting as Terrorism

Bridget Johnson

10/23/12

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said today that he and other colleagues in the upper chamber will lead a push to get the Pentagon to reclassify the 2009 Fort Hood shooting as terrorism.

The Department of Defense infamously called the rampage that left 13 dead an act of “workplace violence.” The court-martial of Army Major Nidal Hasan was postponed indefinitely on Monday by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces over whether Hasan can keep his beard during trial proceedings.

A movement was started by the Coalition of Fort Hood Heroes to ask Congress to put the heat on the Obama administration to change the classification — and make victims eligible for Purple Hearts in the process.

Valin, here is more of that conversation. Read from the bottom up.

while you might get a terrorism charge to stick it would certainly be easier and more likely to not go with terrorism

under that definition I would argue that it would be much easy to charge the Ft. Hood incident as not terrorism -

It is just a fact of life. The lawyers have screwed up everything they touch. If the same laws were in effect during WWll, the guys that were caught trying to infiltrate and were caught in Florida(?) and executed, would still be awaiting trial today. I told Shelley that the worst thing about the death penalty was the time it took to get through all of the appeals, etc. They generally die of old age before being executed.
