Draggingtree Posted October 19, 2012 Share Posted October 19, 2012 Slow Cooker Apple Butter 5 pounds Granny Smith, Gala or Braeburn apples, peeled, cored, quartered 1 1/2 cups sugar 1/2 cup orange juice (or water) 2 tablespoons cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves 1 tablespoon butter Instructions: In a slow cooker combine apples, sugar, orange juice or water, cinnamon and cloves. Cook on low 8 hours or until apples are very tender. Drain well. Cool in the work bowl of a food processor, then process until smooth or it reaches the desired consistency, stir in butter.
