Throughout his administration, comics across the television landscape have shied away from attacking President Obama. “Obama doesn’t give you much to grab onto,” explains Saturday Night Live writer Jim Downey. “He’s like a smooth rock face of perfect obsidian with no ledges or toeholds, and your job is to scale 200 feet of it.”

 

Or they’re just the world’s most untalented comedians.

 

How else to explain why comedians simply won’t mock a man who tweets pictures of himself with a cardboard cutout of himself – and the caption “You look familiar”? Or appears on “Pimp With The Limp,” but not on Fox News? Or skips a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu so that he can hang with the ladies on “The View,” and there label himself “eye candy”?

 

This president isn’t just worth joking about. He’s a joke.
