At first I thought the U.N. was the common denominator, but they did not get involved in Viet Nam. The American people just don't have the stomach any more for what it takes to slog it out for a long period of time. It is a 'quagmire' after weeks or months and the media is clamoring for a conclusion. Valin, would be interested in your thoughts on the subject.
