pollyannaish
This is what it's like to be hated in ones own state...and even by some of ones own friends. well do you think they will keep him off the ticket No. While the GOP is becoming more liberal in this state, even on parts of the east side, it is well organized and established and still the second largest vote getting party. There would be serious blow back if this happened and the Dems still have to pay attention to us. I think even our stupid (#$%^&*) primary system wouldn't allow it to happen because Romney was the second highest vote getter in the primaries which puts him on the ballot. Our primaries take the top two vote getters and put them on the ballot regardless of party. They are not even listed as the party's nominee, it says "prefers Democrat party or prefers Republican party." This is a really pain in the but, because you could end up voting for someone who has not been vetted by the state party and just puts that down on the ticket. And information on these guys is hard to find. That said, this is just an attention getting maneuver. The libertarian party in this state is actually quite divided between the small government east siders and the drug/gay marriage west siders and there are always these groups within it that are trying to figure out how to work the system and are strategizing how to get to the top without actually getting the votes. This state's government is messed up.

Valin
And that is how the libertarian party constantly sets themselves back. The problem they have is they act like they are a Real Political Party...they're not. I say this because after being around for 42 years, and being (as they constantly tell us) the 3rd largest political party they still don't get their candidates elected...at least not in significant numbers, to offices that matter.
