Draggingtree
RedState: Meet Bainers, the New Birthers Posted by Erick Erickson (Diary) Friday, July 13th at 4:46AM EDT 1 Comment First, let’s dispense with the bull shiitake mushrooms. Condi Rice is not the veep pick. She served President Bush for 8 years, has never been elected, and is pro-abortion. It’s not happening. Likewise, much of the fawning the left does over Rice has more to do with her carefully portrayed image as a spoiller to Rumsfeld and Cheney than to her actual, though admittedly impressive, background. I can’t be the only one to have gotten pretty strong denials from Team Romney about this. A friend of mine speculates that it was a trial balloon so when a less than stellar pick emerges everyone can say, “Well, at least it was not Condi.” Now, on to more important matters. Draggingtree
If history’s any indicator, we’ve got some time before Romney’s veep announcement; Update: Surprise frontrunner emerges, says Drudge posted at 7:01 pm on July 12, 2012 by Erika Johnsen With the usual summer-vacation news slowdown and pre-full-blast campaign season excitement, we’re at the usual moment in the election cycle for rampant veep speculation. Most recently, there have been rumors as to whether Team Romney’s advisers are wondering if it mightn’t be beneficial for Mitt to announce his intentions sooner rather than later given the current state of play. They’re still insisting, however, that they’ve made no decisions, and Romney played it totally coy on Neil Cavuto’s show on Wednesday afternoon. http://www.youtube.c...d&v=NzmdB4v0bmo Read More http://hotair.com/archives/2012/07/12/if-historys-any-indicator-weve-got-some-time-before-romneys-veep-announcement/
