Valin Posted June 21, 2012 Share Posted June 21, 2012 Times of Israel: Asher Zeiger and Times of Israel staff June 21, 2012 The Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigade, Hamas’ military wing announced on Wednesday evening that they are prepared to accept Egyptian efforts to end the current round of rocket fire into Israel provided that Israel will also cease its air strikes on Gaza. The announcement came after three days of attacks and counter-attacks between Israel and the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip. Since Monday, over 120 have been fired into Israel, including more than 70 fired on Wednesday alone. One rocket was shot down by the Iron Dome anti-missile defense system near Netivot. In the announcement, Hamas said that they will stop firing rockets, but will not disassemble their launchers as they stand ready to “defend and attack” at all times. A tactical maneuver enabling radical islamist groups to re-group and muster their strength in preparation for further attacks. They're getting their ass kicked and they want a "time out".
