In 2008, conservative journalist Jack Cashill presented evidence that Barack Obama’s bestselling 1995 memoir Dreams From My Father had been written with the assistance of Bill Ayers, the former Weather Underground radical who was Obama’s neighbor in Chicago. Now, the revelation that an ex-girlfriend in Dreams was a “composite” or “compression” of several women — as President Obama reportedly told biographer David Marannis — has focused new attention on Cashill’s argument that Ayers was Obama’s ghostwriter.

The so-called “New York girlfriend” in Obama’s memoir bears specific resemblance to Ayers’s ex-girlfriend Diana Oughton, one of three Weather Underground members killed in 1970 when a bomb the terrorist group was building accidentally exploded.

Like the girlfriend in Obama’s memoir, Oughton had brown hair and green eyes, and came from an affluent background. Furthermore, Oughton’s family estate in Illinois is strikingly similar to one described in a sequence in Dreams when Obama and his “New York girlfriend” visit her family. Cashill wrote in a 2010 article at The American Thinker:

One weekend, the woman invites Obama to her family’s country home, which had been her grandfather’s, and “he had inherited it from his grandfather.” The library is filled with old books and photos of the grandfather with presidents, diplomats, industrialists. “It was autumn,” Obama recalls, “beautiful, with woods all around us, and we paddled a canoe across this round, icy lake full of small gold leaves that collected along the shore.” . . .

According to a Time Magazine article written soon after her death, Oughton “brought Bill Ayers and other radicals” to the family homestead in Dwight, Illinois. . . . What amazes me more about all of this - composite girlfriend" and the Genevieve Cook kiss and tell is WHY NOW?

 

What amazes me even more is the attitude of other authors and journalists to Obama and his motives.

Okay, so this Clinton biographer, David Maraniss, has this Vanity Fair story (I guess he's got a book) about Obama's girlfriend, this "composite" girlfriend "Genevieve" whatever. I'm sorry, the only thing that interests me about this is: Why are we just learning about it now? Why are we just learning about the fact that he "composited" a bunch of girlfriends into one? I mean, he's been president for almost four years, 3-1/2 years, and we're just now hearing about this?...........

 

Obama and the "compressed" girlfriend -- we have some sound bites here from noted professionals in journalism and noted historians to try to explain this to us and to basically say, "Hey, that's just 'cause Obama's talented and he's really, really cool." Up first is Jake Tapper, who was on Good Morning America today. And this is a portion of his report about the new biography about Obama by David Maraniss and the revelations about his new girlfriend, Genevieve Cook.

Now, Obama was originally approached to write a book on race, and in fact he intended to write a series of essays on race based on his experiences. But he decided instead to write on the same subject in autobiographical form. So isn't it more than a little weird that his book on race would go to such lengths to skirt around the fact that he had a white girlfriend? Genevieve Cook was white, I think. Why hide that fact, since he was originally gonna write a book on race?

 

 

But above and beyond that, here's Jacob Tapper, ace reporter at ABC, who's just now learning about this.

It took another journalist, Maraniss.... This stuff was all knowable four years ago. Isn't it striking how all these Obama-beat journalists are fascinated with this. They didn't know anything about it! It was right there in Obama's autobiography. They didn't know anything about it. Now that a fellow journalist has ripped the cover off of this, it's perfectly fine to talk about it.

 

So we move on to CBS This Morning. The guest is Rice University Professor of History Doug Brinkley and he's having a discussion with Charlie Rose about the report that Obama created a "composite" character made up of several real people in his autobiography Dreams From My Father. ......

ROSE: If it is different, does it matter? Because it's the difference between autobiography and biography.

BRINKLEY: Well, exactly. I mean, there's a lot of compression that President Obama used in his book. Some of the women that we read about now in the Vanity Fair piece were compressed by the president. But they're two different breeds, autobiography and history. David Maraniss is a very fine biographer. He's written excellent books on Roberto Clemente and Bill Clinton and many others. So he's credible. He's a longtime Washington Post reporter, and he's done the best job of really giving us the factual timeline of the president's Occidental College move to New York City and what he did in New York. Not just who his girlfriends are but how he was fighting for racial identity.

 

RUSH: "Fighting for racial identity."

What a courageous struggle, "fighting for racial identity." Because, of course, that's all that matters. (interruption) Well, I know, his mother was white and his father was black, so, "Who am I?" It matters, racial identity. But, you see, it is different. Charlie Rose says, "It really doesn't matter, does it? It's the difference between autobiography and biography?" and Doug Brinkley says, "Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah." Really? An autobiography is not meant to be factual? He's got the latitude and leeway here because he's Obama and we are the reviewers.

So Charlie Rose says, "Well, what comes across here, Doug, is the notion that this is a young man clearly with a remarkable ability -- remarkable talent, remarkable ability, Doug! But he was also ambitious. Really had a plan. He was looking to find his own way to the things he wanted to do, which I find not unusual for somebody of his talent."

Exactly! And a talent is what he was. Some of the letters and writing we see of Barack Obama is quite guarded. Uh, he's not putting himself up on the line. He's not exposing his personality. He's keeping a lot to himself. And we see that sort of aloofness sometimes with his presidential leadership. He's very Zen-like and self-contained now as president, and we see that even --

ROSE: Yeah, exactly.

BRINKLEY: -- at an early age, he was like that.

RUSH: Yeah, yeah! Exactly. He's so talented. He's so cool. He's just so "Zen-like." He's so aloof. He's so self-contained. He's in the midst of this racial struggle! It doesn't matter whether his autobiography is factual, because he's Barack Obama. So everything is okay now. What could have been a disaster (Oh, no! Oh, no! Obama wrote some stuff that isn't true in his autobiography!) we've got it covered now. We've fixed it. (interruption) I know. Nixon was "aloof" but he wasn't called "Zen-like." He was called paranoid. Nixon was called a psychological freak.

Intelligence community rocked by mole

 

So what are the ramifications of Hanssens’s unmasking for intelligence agencies around the world and for our own secret services? Tony Jones speaks with Warren Reed, who spent 10 years as a senior agent for ASIS, the Australian Security and Intelligence Service.

 

What I mean by that is you might recall a former major-general in the KGB, he published a book in 1994 called ‘Spy Master’ and he looked at his 32 years in intelligence.

 

A very urbane intelligent former KGB man.

 

Quite outspoken.

 

He mentioned in that book that there lad been traitors just like Hanssen who in effect made contact with the Russian Embassy in Canberra and said, “We’ve got stuff you might want.”

 

TONY JONES: Traitors in the Australian security intelligence?

 

WARREN REED: Yes.

 

These people apparently handed over very good stuff, particularly top American intelligence which the Russians in those days and many other people now find easier to get in the third country, a country’s that in the Western intelligence loop and will have access to top American stuff, like Australia, but is a soft target.

 

TONY JONES: You were in ASIS for 10 years or more, do you believe that we had our own moles, maybe even still do?

 

WARREN REED: Yes, but in the Australian system, Tony, it’s not easy the way it runs to ever go and report on those sorts of people.

TONY JONES: Do you just have suspicions or something more?

 

WARREN REED: More than suspicions.

 

But rather than deal with my suspicions, let’s look at the fact that when the book came out and made reference to people making contact and providing information just like Hanssen has at a safe distance, that and for a number of reasons it triggered off an inquiry, the most broad ranging inquiry we’ve ever had in Australian history, which was run by Michael Cook who had just before returned from America as Australian ambassador in Washington.

 

And the Cook Inquiry, the findings of which have never been publicly revealed or even presented to Parliament, that inquiry went through ASIS, ASIO, Federal Police, defence, foreign affairs, everywhere where it should have been looking, but we’re not allowed to know what it tripped over.

In April 2008, Obama, speaking to George Stephanopoulos, described Ayers — as if from a great distance — as “a guy who lived in my neighborhood.” Obama also mislead Stephanopoulos with the peculiar characterization of Ayers as “a professor of English.”

 

In September, Obama dropped the brittle pose of not knowing intimate details about Ayers and told Bill O’Reilly, “I haven’t seen the guy in a year and a half,” and, “I come to Chicago. He’s working with Mayor Richard Daley, not known to be a radical. So, he and I know each other as a consequence of work he’s doing on education. That is not an endorsement of his views.”

I would love to see a reporter ask him point blank…where you at the Kennedy Aiport for the apartheid protest?

There’s no doubt: The three events (the Schenectady bombing, the airport acid attack, and the Brinks robbery) were all connected, and the violent aspect of the airport anti-Apartheid protest was organized and carried out by the Weather Underground.

 

And there is a chance — merely a chance, mind you, no proof — that Barack Obama was present at that protest, possibly among the many other innocent anti-Apartheid protesters who were unaware that members of the Weather Undergound were among them and about to stage an attack.

 

Or, even more likely, that Obama knew fellow anti-Apartheid protesters who were at the airport. Or at the very least he heard about the airport protest when it happened — since he was also in New York at the time and also involved in anti-Apartheid protests — and became aware of the Weather Underground.

 

Any of these possibilities would debunk Obama’s later claim that he had no real knowledge of who the Weather Underground were or of William Ayers’ past, and that the Weather Underground were simply some ’60s radicals who blew things up when Obama “was eight years old.”

The following information is based upon news reports (i.e. NY Times) and open FBI files. In 1982, New York City, Barack Obama is attending Columbia Univ. and is residing about two blocks away from Weather Underground leader William Ayers on the Upper East side of Manhattan NY. Bill Ayers is attending Bank Street College on the other side of Central Park at West 112th Street going for his Masters in Early Childhood Education.

 

Barack Obama, Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn are living in close proximity in Manhattan NY from about 1982 to at least 1984. Bernardine Dohrn moves to Chicago and from 1984 to 1988 Dohrn is employed by the prestigious Chicago Law firm Sidley & Austin, Bill Ayers apparantly stays at Columbia Univ. in New York City until Ed.D graduation in 1987. Michelle Obama joined Sidley & Austin as an associate in the fall of 1988. She had previously been a summer associate at Sidley & Austin—evidently in the summer of 1987 (when Dohrn was there).

Barack Obama entered Harvard Law School in late 1988, during his summers, he returned to Chicago where he worked as a summer associate at the law firm of Sidley & Austin from 1988 to 1989, this is the same Law Firm where Bernardine Dohrn, the Leader/Founder of the “Weatherman Group”, was already employed.

 

The radical School reform movement had begun in 1987 in the wake of an unpopular strike by Chicago teachers. Bill Ayers was active in that reform effort through a group called the Alliance for Better Chicago Schools, or ABCs. ABCs was an alliance of various activists and reform groups that included the Developing Communities Project which Barack Obama headed up at the time as well as Chicago United, a business sector group, that was headed up by Thomas Ayers, father of Bill Ayers.

 

By 1995, it appears that Barack Obama had known Bill Ayers & Bernardine Dohrn at least eight years since Ayers and Obama shared involvement in the Alliance for Better Chicago Schools in 1987, Ayers did not leave Columbia Univ. NYC until mid 1987, it appears he travelled back and forth between Chicago and NYC, he got involved with the radical Alliance For Better Schools in Chicago, possibly through Dohrn.

 

It is unclear whether Obama knew the former fugitive Dohrn through Sidley & Austin but there is no doubt that, by the time Obama joined Sidley & Austin as a Summer associate, Obama had known Bill Ayers for at least two years through their involvement in Alliance for Better Chicago Schools in 1987…..Obama, 21 years involved with terrorist cop killers.

Due to his former compulsory association with the Indonesian government while still a student, it is possible he would be placed on the front lines doing reconnaissance work in Indonesia’s current campaign against Malaysia and the British Forces.

 

Being apart would endanger his wife’s health and mental outlook.
