Valin
CBS News: 3/19/12 NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s food police have struck again! Outlawed are food donations to homeless shelters because the city can’t assess their salt, fat and fiber content, reports CBS 2’s Marcia Kramer. Glenn Richter arrived at a West Side synagogue on Monday to collect surplus bagels — fresh nutritious bagels — to donate to the poor. However, under a new edict from Bloomberg’s food police he can no longer donate the food to city homeless shelters. (Snip) Click on link for video Also NY Post: No Kugel for you! pollyannaish
Ok that's it. This country is being run by complete idiots. Good grief. Next thing you know the state is going to insist on paying for decent wine for the winos. This kind of thing just makes me flat out grouchy. Grumpy. Mad.

Rokke
I actually find this kind of stuff good news. It illustrates the absolute absurdity of government intervention. This country will remain on the path to socialism until people of every demographic get sick of the government. Now the screws of government are tightening at both ends of the economic spectrum. Good for us (and U.S.)...in the long run.

Good for us (and U.S.)...in the long run. My only concern with that approach is that by the time people really understand what has happened, it will be MUCH more difficult to fix. It's such a helpless feeling. You see it rolling toward you and you're yelling at people to get out of the way...but no one can hear. It's what nightmares are made of. Glad its cosmically out of my hands.
