clearvision
FOX Denver: Former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich is scheduled to arrive at a Colorado federal prison Thursday to begin serving a 14-year sentence on a corruption conviction. “This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do,” he told a crowd of sign-wielding supporters outside his Chicago home Wednesday. “But this is the law and we follow the law.” He was convicted of corruption in June 2011 after a jury returned 17 guilty verdicts against him. Among other allegations, he was accused of trying to profit as he considered whom to appoint to take Barack Obama’s open Senate seat.

SrWoodchuck
This facility is only 3 miles from my house, in Littleton, Colorado. We go by it almost 3 or 4 times a week. It isn't Club Fed. There are double rows of razor wire all around the main building, and "criss-cross"patrolling 4x4's with armed federal guards. They have the fields on every side, wired with motion detectors, listening devices & pressure pads. It's mostly younger men in the facility, a lot of them convicted of drug offenses. Across from the prison, there was an historic farm with a large lake, and huge 150 year old trees on two sides......it was sold for a development, and the development was called "Oak View".....but they cut those beautiful trees down [some section as big as an old VW "Bug"] and so we now call it "No Oak View" or "F-ng Prison View Acres." He'll have a good time there, because of his Illinois accent & he's "cute"......
