'I Feel Duped on Climate Change'

The long version of the IPCC report does mention natural causes of climate change, like the sun and oscillating ocean currents. But they no longer appear in the summary for politicians. They were simply edited out. To this day, many decision-makers don't know that new studies have seriously questioned the dominance of CO2. CO2 alone will never cause a warming of more than 2 degrees Celsius (3.6 degrees Fahrenheit) by the end of the century. Only with the help of supposed amplification effects, especially water vapor, do the computers arrive at a drastic temperature increase. I say that global warming will remain below two degrees by the end of the century. This is an eminently political message, but it's also good news.

While things have been warmer than normal on the East Coast... Europe has had record cold this year.

The Danube is frozen for the first time in a long time. Here are some great pics showing the effect of the cold on the Europeans.

This is pretty incredible news. Interesting that this headline is missing from the US MSM...

Sydney Morning Herald

Hundreds dead in Europe cold snap

The deadly cold snap that has gripped Europe for more than a week has strained emergency services, wrought travel chaos and claimed more lives, bringing to more than 300 the tally of victims.

The homeless population has borne the brunt of the deaths, with dozens of transients freezing to death in unheated apartments, fire escapes or in makeshift street shelters.

French authorities on Sunday found the bodies of two homeless people who had most likely frozen to death, bringing to at least 307 the number of cold-related deaths across Europe.

With temperatures plunging as low as minus 40 degrees, the grim winter toll also rose in other countries, including Italy, Poland and Ukraine.Scissors-32x32.png

Just remember everyone, before you get too attached to reality--Weather and climate change are not related to each other. Well, except for the fact that whatever bad is happening, the Volt can cure it!
