Valin
Daily Telegraph:Jenny Dillon 5/15/11Dominique Strauss-Kahn, head of the International Monetary Fund, was taken from his first-class seat just two minutes before his plane was due to take off from JFK Airport for Paris after a maid at Manhattan's classy Sofitel Hotel claimed he "jumped her" while naked after she entered his room.He was charged on counts including criminal sexual act, unlawful imprisonment, attempted rape and assault, police said last night. The leader of France's Socialist Party and a former Socialist MP in the French assembly, Strauss-Kahn had been tipped to succeed French President Nicolas Sarkozy and meets regularly with Treasurer Wayne Swan at G20 meetings.(Snip)
AceRimmer
Strauss-Kahn has had a chequered past. In 2008 the three-times married father of four was investigated over what was called an "improper relationship" with a subordinate female employee. So he's the French version of Bill Clinton. It's just about sex. [/sarcasm]
Sanguine
He's got an interesting background. Of Sephardic and Ashkenazi parentage, communist, raised mostly in Algiers. And, as Ace pointed out, has a history of being investigated. Looks like he got caught this time.
clearvision
Likely "socialist" candidate for France.... Staying a quoted $3000 a night suite and picked up in First Class (those tickets don't come cheap). I guess even socialist leaders have to live like capitalist leaders.
