RealClearPolitics:

Since our president has seen fit to issue White House statements on every Muslim holiday... one would have thought that he would issue a statement on the most important Christian holiday.

The White House released statements in 2010 on Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr, Hajj, and Eid-ul-Adha. He even released an eight-paragraph statement heralding Earth Day (which was Good Friday).

However there was no Easter statement from the president this year. There wasn't even a mention of Easter or Good Friday in his Saturday radio address.

These were omissions so great that even the loyal WH press corps felt required to raise the question with Carney today.

Today WH Press Secretary Carney offered a scoffing explanation had some REAL BREAKING NEWS.

Carney unwittingly positioned this as an event so rare that all Americans were sure to take notice. This was something so significant and newsworthy that he had to repeat it three times.

STOP THE PRESSES....

BREAKING NEWS...

Obama went to church!

Be sure to watch the video on the link to see Carney dance and dismissively laugh off a legitimate question.

But is it only about Christians. No big deal.

Did you also see that the minister at the church, the minister took time in his Easter sermon to slam Rush Limbaugh? Zombie.

shoutNCTexan! Thanks for pointing out our President's committment to his "religion."

Hollow expressions from a hollow man.

His dhimmi mindset cannot encompass anything that isn't a photo-op for 2012. It was a non-speaking campaign appearance.

Oh...and Jay Carney is a bigger joke that Beltway Bob......a very minor Mephistopheles' mouthpiece.

Obama invokes Christian beliefs at Easter prayer breakfast

KEVIN ECKSTROM

4/22/11

Religion News Service

President Barack Obama this week said Jesus’ death and resurrection on Easter “puts everything else in perspective,” at a White House event that showcased his increasing comfort with discussing his faith.

Using the kind of personal religious language that he had once shied away from in public, Obama spoke of “the pain and the scorn and the shame of the cross” in an Easter prayer breakfast for about 150 guests and staff.

“And we’re reminded that in that moment, (Jesus) took on the sins of the world — past, present and future — and he extended to us that unfathomable gift of grace and salvation through his death and resurrection,” Obama said.

Rush later said the minister slammed him last year and was having his staff look for it to run tomorrow. Either way, Obambi seems to have found the same kind of pastor as Jeremiah Wright near the White House.

"However there was no Easter statement from the president this year."

Au Contraire ..In his case, the statement is loud and clear.

Thank you Mr. Zero for once again verifying your true beliefs.

uuummmmm then in that case the message is for the world and not just "a Christian message"

But like the O said last week "There's just something about Easter."

Ya think??

Well, duh.

God have mercy on us all.

Did I hear correctly this morning that he did not issue a statement last year as well? Don't know which station I had on, but thought that is what I heard. Probably Fox.

Carney is a real wet behind the ears buffoon, wrong for a press secretary.

Just like his boss. A buffoon with big ears but still wet and wrong for America.
