I did like the term "Fleebagger" to describe the Dems.

The truth rarely seems to matter in hyper-partisan politics anymore. I just read a whole leftist rant from a friend on FB talking about how we are living in Nazi Germany type times because of President Bush and his father. They wanted to "purify" the race.

 

It was juvenile, ridiculous and embarrassing. Especially because I've heard similar rantings about Obama from our side.

 

We are NOT living in a dictatorship. Obama is not a Nazi. He is a bad PRESIDENT, but we shouldn't impeach him we should vote him out in a couple of years like our forefathers intended.

 

Both sides are getting a little detached from reality. We're in a world of hurt, and the thing that will hurt us the MOST is irrational hysteria.

1. Obama IS a socialist.

 

2. Obama IS anti-American Exceptionalism.

 

3. Obama DOES want to weaken the US abroad (see #2 above.)

 

4. Obama HAS violated the Constitution.

 

5. Obama IS a liar.

 

6. Obama IS stupid (need I point out yet again this 'Harvard lecturer's' need for a Teleprompter at press conferences?)

 

7. Obama IS, in my opinion, an ideological Marxist or at-least fellow-traveller.

 

8. Obama IS soft on Moslem extremism (due to his fellow-feeling for Moslems owing to his family ties.)

 

I hope that stating those FACTS is not irrational.

Nope. Those I agree with. He has stated all of those himself in one way or another. And I would add:

 

9. He is a secular humanist with antipathy towards mainstream Christian believers.

 

10. He is a narcissist.

 

11. His natural way of doing business is that of a community organizer stirring up trouble rather than a leader looking for grown up solutions.

 

12. He is way over his head in his current position and really doesn't know what to do.

 

13. There is something funky about his birth certificate but we don't know what that is. It could be a way to keep us distracted politically, it could be that he was born in Seattle rather than Hawaii which contradicts his autobiographies, It could be anything but probably NOT that he was born in Kenya.

 

But you didn't call him a dictator, the antiChrist or a practicing Muslim. You didn't say he is ready to institute martial law tomorrow to stay in power, was born in Kenya, or that he INTENDS to bring down the United States.

 

Those are VERY different things. Yours are based on facts and action. The other are based on projection.
