Valin
Gulf Daily News:REBECCA TORR January 21, 2011HOPES are high for Tunisia to become a democratic country, especially as any outcome will have a ripple affect on the Arab world, says a society leader. Citizens in the Gulf and Middle East want the revolution to succeed and for there to be democracy across the region, said National Democratic Action Society (Wa'ad) secretary-general Ibrahim Sharif."Hopes are very high that this will end up in real reform and democracy, if not then the democracy in the Arab world will be put back decades," he told the GDN."We hope there won't be outside or inside interference. We know that remnants of the old regime are re-gathering and coming together to take over."This is very dangerous because they removed the dictator but not the dictatorship."
