Richardson: Peacemaker or Patsy?
December 21, 2010 - 12:01 PM | by: Greg Palkot

LONDON New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson is dubbing his trip to North Korea a “success.” But is he a “peacemaker” or a “patsy”? Opinion is divided.

Richardson’s “hopeful” words follow reports Pyongyang will now grant UN nuclear watchdog inspectors access to the Yongbyon nuclear site as well as selling off the fuel rods from the plants so they can’t be used for anything nefarious.

It is this plant that is thought to have produced the fuel for the North’s rudimentary arsenal of a-bombs.

Richardson also had reportedly called on Pyongyang to exhibit “restraint” in the face of Monday’s artillery drills by the South Korean military on Yeonpyeong Island. When the North didn’t level the South as it promised he praised the officials there.

Still, for those who spend a lot of time watching Kim Jong-Il and company operate, what happened this week falls into a pattern that the North has exhibited time and time again.snip

Richardson: Peacemaker or Patsy?

No, just a helpful Hispanic with a good surplus of tan.

shoutPepper! I knew that was George Hamilton. He was hillarious in "Love at First Bite" and "Zorro, the Gay Blade". B)

How Bill Richardson is not rotting in a supermax for dereliction of duty during Chinagate and the theft of nuke secrets by the Chicoms from Los Alamos in the '90s is one of the mysteries our grandchildren will be asking into the next century.
