Fox News:

Lawmakers are on high alert as the Federal Communications Commission prepares to vote on a plan to regulate the Internet despite warnings that it could choke industry investment and hurt the economy as a whole.

The five-member commission plans to unveil, and vote on, the so-called "net neutrality" proposal on Tuesday.

Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have been saying for months that Congress, not the Obama administration, should take the lead role in deciding whether and how much to police the web. But despite a brief backing-off earlier in the year, the FCC has pushed ahead with its new regulatory plan.

The move raises concern that the FCC could soon have its regulatory foot in the door of the wild West of the Internet -- with an eye toward eventually exerting tighter control over content at a time when sites like WikiLeaks openly snub the government.

The FCC proposal is viewed as a major breakthrough, for better or worse, for Internet oversight. And if the plan passes, it could trigger a nasty showdown with Congress next year.snip

Simple problem: an out of control administration and FCC.

Simple solution: dismantle the FCC by cutting off all funding, including CPB(the House controls the purse strings).

When we get a GOP POTUS and Senate in 2 years, we can do the same thing with the Dept. of Education, HUD, and many other tentacles of the DC octopus. Cutting the deficit will be a lot easier when you cut the bureaucracy. B)

What could possibly go wrong???

I get nauseous thinking of what a Hillary presidency could do with this. Craig Livingston's 100 files would be chicken feed as compared to controlling the actual content we could access.

To be fair, Nixon would have probably had fun with it too. Or at least the crowd around him.

I hope it doesn't take the new House long to get rid of this and defund the FCC, as it relates to the internet.

" FCC to Vote on Internet Regulation Plan Despite Economic Warnings"

That's why we expect the FCC to vote on it.

Economic warnings be damned. This is the Age of Obama, after all.
