Casino67
FoxNews.com:GREYMOUTH, New Zealand – Officials say there has been a third blast inside the New Zealand mine where 29 workers were killed in an earlier explosion.Pike River Coal chairman John Dow said the blast on Friday occurred almost exactly one week to the minute after the first explosion that led to one of the country's worst mining disasters.Twenty-nine workers were caught in last week's explosion and officials said there was no way they could have survived a second blast on Wednesday.High levels of potentially explosive methane gas is blamed for all the explosions, and have kept recovery teams from entering the mine to recover the workers' bodies.THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE. Check back soon for further information. AP's earlier story is below.I would have thought they would have been using some method to warn of methane gas.
