Reputed Colombo associate and convicted killer Frank "Frankie Blue Eyes" Sparaco even was willing to exploit former Congressman John LeBoutillier's search for American POWs from the Vietnam War in order to make a few extra bucks as reported by Jerry Capeci for The Huffington Post: "Frankie Blue Eyes . . . has admitted that he conned LeBoutillier by pretending to use bogus contacts he claimed to have with imprisoned Russian gangsters to obtain information about American POWs. 'It was a scam from day one,' said one source." Last April reputed Colombo associate Charles "Charlie Boy" Guiga pleaded guilty for his role in scamming LeBoutillier out of $18,500 in exchange for phony intelligence about America's missing troops from Viet Nam.
