Fox News:

WASHINGTON -- As if voters don't have enough to be angry about this election year, the government is expected to announce this week that more than 58 million Social Security recipients will go through another year without an increase in their monthly benefits.

It would mark only the second year without an increase since automatic adjustments for inflation were adopted in 1975. The first year was this year.

"If you're the ruling party, this is not the sort of thing you want to have happening two weeks before an election," said Andrew Biggs, a former deputy commissioner at the Social Security Administration and now a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute. snip

Being a recipient, and totally dependant on SS, it truly hurts not having a little extra. But I can't blame the government. Instead I blame myself for one, not believing I would be around this long, and two, not investing for my later years. Hmmm, does that make me a conservative?

P.S.

Even if there was a big increase, I still wouldn't vote for a D.

I'm hoping you stick around for a while.......but Obamaminions are counting on all of us "fogies" doing our patriotic best to help their socialist planning. We have to go, so they can keep giving tax returns to people who haven't paid any......free housing for those that can't afford it......school loans & healthcare for the "North American Union."

I really want to be here to be able to vote against him one more time. The election in 2014 will be a little dicey. :)
