That was up from 11 percent who said so in March 2009. The survey also showed that just 34 percent said Obama is Christian, down from 48 percent who said so last year. The largest share of people, 43 percent, said they don't know his religion.As Obama headed out for a vacation, Burton told reporters aboard Air Force One that most Americans care more about the economy and wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and "they are not reading a lot of news about what religion the president is."Burton added, "The president is obviously a Christian. He prays everyday."========================================================This statement by the "White House" shows how totally oblivious and tone deaf they are on the subject of religion.I don't believe that "praying daily" makes one a "Christian"... I was under the impression that Muslims pray daily (at least). BTW, I heard rumors that Buddhists and Hindus pray upon occasion. I could thus logically say that "The president is obviously a Muslim. It is, by far, his dumbest move as TOTUS, and the RATS are running from him like he's a leper because of the mid-terms coming up. What he doesn't realize is that those cameras recording him during his Friday night speech are not one play wonders, and this will haunt our Socialist-in-Chief in 2012, when they reemerge. They both (from their own words) believe Jesus was just a Prophet. The O has said many times that the Rev "introduced him to Jesus". Just has never clarified Jesus who? uuuuummmm believe that is what the Muslims believe too. So let him pray and play away. Keeps him busy. Btw we should always care what beliefs the Commander in Chief holds. It's called "world view" and does have consequences in decision making.
