Politico:

Former White House social secretary Desiree Rogers will be the CEO of Johnson Publishing Company, a source confirms to POLITICO.

The promotion – originally reported by the New York Times’ Jeremy Peters – comes after Rogers spent the last two months as a consultant for the Chicago-based publishing house, which owns the magazines Jet and Ebony.

Rogers left the White House earlier this year after a security breach at a state dinner.

She will work with chairwoman Linda Johnson Rice, the daughter of the company's founder.
