Obama: No questions at press freedom event

We just don't talk anymore.

President Obama today signed the Daniel Pearl Freedom of the Press Act, a measure that gives the federal government an oversight role in tracking international press freedom issues. The pool-only event went down in the Oval, where Obama was asked if he would entertain some questions -- specifically about BP.

"Speaking of press freedoms," ventured Chip Reid of CBS News.

"You're certainly free to ask the question," Obama said. "I won't be answering, I'm not doing a press conference today, but we'll be seeing you in the course of the week."

Oh, right. Wednesday's press conference with visiting Mexican President Felipe Calderone. We hear it's two questions per side. Obama strictly limits his availability to spontaneous inquiry from journalists -- but we're still "free to ask."

That is because Obama's handlers know that despite Obama's perceived ability to be quick on his feet, Barack's tendency to rush to judgment, particularly in all matters racial, will eventually be his undoing, if not the nation's undoing.

His handlers also know that, while he is a skilled debater, he is lousy at adlibbing. Debates are generally limited to specific issues and can be prepared for.......the press, even the LSM, have a tendency to throw curve balls.

The Zero's superior intellect seems to be limited to what TOTUS tells him to say.

....and......a new adjective for the First Putz.......Contrarian......in all things, especially the "right" things.......be the first Antipathetic Contrarian President.....

Please excuse my redundant description, but it applies doubly to Obama.
