Mother’s Day Presents an Opportunity to Honor and Stand Up for Real Women

It’s a man’s world again. We’ve won. We’ve seized women’s sports, parenting titles, and Woman of the Year and Prom Queen awards. The gals were making headway there for a while, but now the men are back on top.

I can still remember them, although their memory fades by the day—actual women, that is. Once upon a time, women had domains all to themselves, free from male interference—their own sports, doctors, locker rooms, and dressing rooms.

Not to mention achievements such as “first female four-star officer of the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps.” Famously, that title was nabbed by Rachel Levine, born male, and never will be held by an actual woman.

It’s shameful. Those of us who remember women must stand up for them, now more than ever. As we celebrate Mother’s Day, honor motherhood, and thank God for the gift of mothers this Sunday, we find ourselves fending off men who seek to debase motherhood with two words: birthing person.:snip:

Motherhood still matters

Mother's Day is supposed to be a unifying, calm celebration of one part of that secular trinity — mom, baseball, and apple pie — that makes America great. Unfortunately, this year's celebration of Mother's Day is perceived as divisive to certain corporations, which have been motivated by extreme woke ideologies to reject the entire idea of motherhood . Sadly, political divisions have become so great that people cannot even agree on mom anymore.

The nation's hottest political battle is now over the very idea that women exist. Ideological efforts to disembody the biological reality of sex — to introduce "gender" as an abstract concept that exists outside the laws of science — has led both leftists and those cowardly souls who live in fear of their disapprobation to use such silly terms as "birthing person," which degrade and demean women in general and mothers in particular.

Hopefully, the tide is beginning to turn against such nonsense. But in the meantime, there is still Mother's Day to commemorate what, for most people, celebrates the person who made the most important contribution to their upbringing.

It is unfashionable nowadays to expound upon the nurturing and care that all good mothers show their offspring. Liberals instead expect everyone to feign ignorance and pretend that both sexes are interchangeable. They do this even though 99% of all human culture and literature, from the dawn of time, celebrates those sex differences and expounds upon them, from long before the oral tradition of Homeric epic poetry right up to the latest romantic comedy available on Amazon Prime Video.:snip:

The left is trying to erase mothers. We can't let that happen

With childlike wonder, many of us have pondered the mysteries of the universe. We ask questions like why do ships disappear in the Bermuda Triangle; how did those statues get on Easter Island; or what killed the dinosaurs?  But I’ve never been unclear about who is a mother and whether celebrating their unique sacrifices was worth a holiday. With Mother’s Day coming quickly, here’s a little tutorial on why you need to honor the women who made life a little bit better, one sandwich at a time.

A mother is a woman who by birth or adoption lovingly devotes herself to her child or children. It’s not complicated. It’s not confusing. And should a mother drop the ball, it’s clearly a problem and a loss that only underscores the need for a mom. But most of the time, for most women, motherhood is so noble a sacrifice that a card can’t begin to encompass that kind of commitment, which makes the current erasing of motherhood both offensive and tiring. :snip:

One of the words that is Guaranteed to Get Me/Push My Hot Button/Speak Harsh (probably obscene) Words at a High volume is..."Just A House Wife".
