American Greatness

Former President Donald Trump interrupted CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins to call her a “nasty person” to her face during a CNN Republican Presidential town hall Wednesday.

Collins, a former Daily Caller reporter, pressed Trump on the 11 boxes of over 300 classified documents stored at his private home in Mar-a-Lago and seized by the FBI in an Aug. 8 raid. The former president claimed the Presidential Records Act authorized him to take the documents from the White House into his personal possession, and argued that former President Barack Obama and other former commander-in-chief’s took the same actions.

The former president interrupted Collins, as she disputed his claims about the Presidential Records Act and his criticisms against President Joe Biden and former Vice President Mike Pence, who also had classified documents in their private homes.:snip:

Trump Says He Will Pardon ‘Large Portion’ Of J6 Rioters

Former President Donald Trump said he would pardon a “large portion” of those federally charged for storming the Capitol on Jan. 6 upon winning the 2024 election.

Former Daily Caller reporter and CNN host Kaitlan Collins pressed Trump on whether he would pardon Jan. 6 prisoners during a town hall Wednesday night.

“I am inclined to pardon many of them. I can’t say for every single one because a couple of them probably they got out of control, but, you know, when you look at Antifa, what they’ve done to Portland, and if you look at Antifa, look at what they’ve done to Minneapolis and so many other – so many other places, look at what they did to Seattle. And BLM – BLM, many people were killed,” Trump responded.:snip:

A Few Thoughts about the CNN townhall with Trump

Few of his supporters were surprised to learn that Trump was going to do a sit-down in New Hampshire for CNN.  The man does not shy away from potential political disasters; he thrives on them, runs straight at them, unafraid.

Why?  Because he always comes out of these things having won bigly.  Not only is he quick thinking and knowledgeable when it comes to the facts on all the relevant issues, he is gloriously entertaining, verbally and visually.  His facial expressions and gestures say as much he does with words.

The CNN sit-down Wednesday night was no exception.  Host Kaitlan Colllins clearly thought she would have the upper hand.  Coming from the bubble of leftist propaganda that is CNN’s principal reason for being, of course she believed she would be the hero of the event.  But she got her comeuppance within the first few minutes.  She acted the fool and Trump does not suffer fools, he eviscerates them with a smile on his face.

He certainly got the better of Kaitlan Collins despite her rude, smug arrogance.  She set a new record for dismissive interviews.  She forgot that Trump has had years and years of experience with boorish and ignorant pretend journalists who hate, loathe and despise him. She clearly has no experience with an outlier with so many IQ points on her.

With each question she aimed to embarrass him, to humiliate him.  But she had no actual facts, not when it came to protecting schools, the Second Amendment, the documents stored at Mar-A-Lago,  the event of January 6, 2021, the border wall, school shootings (she exaggerated wildly), etc.  :snip:

Trump Vows to End Ukraine War if Elected, Says European Union Needs to Pay ‘a lot More’

:snip:

A student from Saint Anselm’s College asked the 45th president if he supports the Biden administration’s posture to continue sending military equipment to Ukraine.

Trump responded:

Here’s the thing — have to say it to start off, no longer matters — if I were president, this would have never happened, and even the Democrats admit that. Putin knew it would have never happened, and his pipeline would have never happened. A lot of things would never have happened … and all those dead people, both Russian and Ukrainian, they wouldn’t be dead today. And all those cities that are blown up and disintegrated right to the ground, that wouldn’t have happened.

Now, here’s the problem, we’ve given so far $171 billion. They’ve given — they meaning [the] European Union, which is approximately the same size altogether as our economy — they’ve given about $20 [billion]. So we’re at $170 and they’re at $20, you don’t have to know too much about history … or geography to realize they’re a little bit more affected than we are … so they’ve got to put up a lot more money because they’re taking advantage of us just like every other country did.:snip:

‘Most Voters Are Frankly Kinda Tired Of Y’all’: Rep. Byron Donalds Spars With CNN Panel Over Town Hall With Trump

Republican Florida Rep. Byron Donalds sparred with a CNN panel Wednesday about the network’s Republican Presidential town hall Wednesday.

Donalds accused the town hall of politically attacking former President Donald Trump on the issues, leading the panel to defend CNN anchor and former Daily Caller reporter Kaitlan Collins, adding that she fact checked the former president. The representative criticized the town hall for discussing the January 6 Capitol riot rather than inflation and political issues that matter more to the American voters.

“You do acknowledge Donald Trump lost the 2020 election, correct?” commentator Alyssa Farah Griffin asked.

“Again, we gonna continue to talk about 2020. Hold on, let me tell you why most voters are frankly kinda tired of y’all bringing this up. Inflation, border—” Donalds said.

“Mercy Rule”: CNN Abruptly Cut Trump Town Hall Short by Twenty Minutes

The live event at St. Anselm College in New Hampshire was scheduled to run from 8 p.m. EDT until 9:30 p.m., however right before 9:10 p.m. Collins abruptly ended the town hall.:snip:
