Portland’s autonomous zone, which is moving into its third day, has been “stockpiling weapons” and has instituted armed patrols to defend the walled-in city occupation, authorities said.

Since the encampment began, rioters have increased fortifications around city streets, assaulted residents, and law enforcement has noticed the presence of “armed sentries” patrolling intersections, according to a press release from the Portland Police Bureau.

The autonomous zone, which has been dubbed “Red House on Mississippi,” formed after city officials attempted to enforce a home foreclosure on the Kinneys, a black and Indigenous family, The Oregonian reported.

“We want a peaceful and safe resolution to the occupation of public space on North Mississippi Avenue,” Portland Police Bureau Chief Chuck Lovell said in the release. “We are greatly concerned about the fortification of barricades, stockpiling of weapons, armed sentries, attacks on journalists and threats to kill officers in graffiti in this public space.”

Portland’s Mayor refuses to allow police to clear autonomous zone just hours after saying he will use “all lawful means”

Stephen Oatley

December 10, 2020

Just hours after issuing a press-release promising to allow the Portland Police Bureau officers to use “all lawful means” to end the illegal occupation of a Portland Mayor, law enforcement sources tell PT News Network that the Mayor is actively preventing the police from doing there job.

On Tuesday morning, violent extremists attacked Portland Police officers, forcing a retreat after police attempted to clear out a crime-ridden homeless encampment on North Mississippi Avenue. The violent assault was captured on livestreams and broadcast throughout social media. During the assault, the Antifa extremists threw rocks, assaulted police officers and destroyed police vehicles. The police, vastly outnumbered were forced to retreat.

PT News Network has learned through police sources within the Portland Police Bureau that the lack of police response was a direct command from Wheeler himself. According to our sources, the Rapid Response Team was mobilized Tuesday night and was awaiting the final okay from the Mayor’s office to put a quick end to the occupation.

According to these officers, instead the Mayor “told us last minute not to move in. To stand still unless there is violent protesting.” It seems that although the Mayor publicly stated that he was going to protect the citizens and property of his city, he caved at the last minute and decided to leave this neighborhood, and its residents to the wolves.

Portland’s ‘autonomous zone’ arrestees have charges immediately dropped

Every person arrested at the growing Red House Autonomous Zone (RHAZ) in Portland had their charges immediately dropped by the progressive district attorney.

Every person arrested at the growing Red House Autonomous Zone (RHAZ) in Portland had their charges immediately dropped by the progressive district attorney.

Radical left-wing activists have been occupying the property known as the “Red House” on North Mississippi Avenue for months to protect squatters who were legally served multiple eviction notices. But a police raid earlier this week led to a series of arrests and acted as the spark for the start of the autonomous zone later in the day.

At the raid on Tuesday morning, local law enforcement recovered a stockpile of guns and weapons. Soon after, Antifa accounts on social media rallied their comrades to retake the space. Authorities were forced to retreat both on-foot and by vehicle. Police have not returned since. The zone has continued to grow with additional barricades. Occupiers have also laid nails and other “booby traps” on the street to stop vehicles from approaching.

By Friday, nearly $300,000 had been raised for the Kinney family on GoFundMe. Separately, it was revealed that the family owns a second home nearby the “Red House” despite continuing to raise funds on CashApp.
