In Ohio, for example, Gov. Mike DeWine announced last week a plan to reopen the state, even while ordering restaurants, stores, and their customers to wear masks — something that wasn’t required under his previous shutdown order. It’s even worse in Knox County, Tenn., where the health department just announced that while churches may reopen on May 1, the Lord’s Supper is forbidden. The order was announced by Knox County Health Department Regional Hospital Coordinator Charity Menefee, who announced that Communion is not part of “core worship.” “The Community Strategy for Phased Reopening is complementary to Governor Lee’s ‘Tennessee Pledge: Reopening Tennessee Responsibly’ framework and the White House’s ‘Opening Up America Again’ guidance,” the edict explains. “Local government has been empowered to create strategies relevant to the unique needs of the community.” (Snip) In addition, “The physical taking of communion/sacrament should not be performed due to the serial breaking of physical distancing across a congregation.” Churches are urged to “consider guiding parishioners in how to connect with the spiritual aspects of these practices during this phase.” Never mind that for Christians, Communion is a requirement, not an optional activity that can be transmitted over the internet. Geee Posted May 1, 2020 Share Posted May 1, 2020 No, We Don’t Need To Foster A Culture Of Snitching To Stay Safe One of the unsettling trends to emerge from these lockdowns is the penchant for some public officials to encourage snitching on neighbors and businesses that don’t comply with social distancing rules or whatever edict a governor or mayor decides to promulgate on a given day. This week it was Colorado Gov. Jared Polis, who, like many other governors across the country announced a partial reopening of his state as the spread of the coronavirus slows. But Polis wasn’t content simply to announce the new guidelines. He had to lecture Coloradans on their behavior and warn them he might yank the reopening if they don’t behave. It was a good day to be in California if you are a sex criminal: One of the many things I do not understand about the reaction to coronavirus is why governments are so solicitous of criminals. They apparently are a healthy subset of the population, since testing has repeatedly found that 95% or more of the inmates who test positive for COVID-19 never knew they had it. The American Constitution, however, has no such provision.” It turns out, though, that it doesn’t really matter what provisions the American Constitution has or doesn’t have. Over the last six weeks, virtually every single one of America’s 50 governors has assumed dictatorial powers, and barely any of us have said boo. They have shut down churches, closed schools, prohibited public assemblies of any kind – and nearly all of us have dutifully obeyed their orders. Indeed, we now snitch on neighbors who don’t toe the line. (Snip) “Emergency” is a magical word! Once an emergency is declared, everything is permitted. And who defines “emergency”? The politicians. So what if the Democrats win back the White House in November and declare an indefinite state of emergency to save the planet from “harmful carbon emissions”? Will the mainstream media object? Most certainly not. They’ll cheer on this “bold” step just as much of German society cheered on Hitler’s power grab. After all, what greater emergency can there be than saving the planet? He announced a “pilot program that will grow into a larger program” and “we will find everyone with COVID-19 and we will isolate every one of them and we will make sure that they stay quarantined and we will check in with them every day. Gavin Newsom, governor of the “nation-state” of California, is raising what he calls an “army” of 20,000 government employees who will trace the spread of coronavirus across the state. Those found guilty, or rather, infected, are likely to run into an uncomfortable change in their lives. In Ventura County, northwest of Los Angeles, a pilot program was launched this week to trace infections and exposure, according to County Health Director Dr. Robert Levin. When infected persons are found, he said, they are “immediately isolated.” As more people are tested, Levin continued, “we will find more and more people who have COVID-19.” “We will isolate every one of them, and we will find every one of their contacts, and we will make sure that they stayed quarantined, and we’ll check in with them every day.” Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Daniel Payne May 12, 2020 The state of Washington as part of its economic reopening plan will require restaurants to keep detailed files of every customer that comes in – an effort to help the state track down and possibly quarantine anyone who may be suspected of having coronavirus. As part of "Phase 2" of the government's staggered reopening, the state will order restaurants to "create a daily log of all customers and maintain that daily log for 30 days, including telephone/email contact information and time in." "This will facilitate any contact tracing that might need to occur," the government directive states.
