Valin Posted May 7, 2019 Share Posted May 7, 2019 The Tower May 7 2019 The Israeli and American national academies of science signed a cooperation agreement in Jerusalem on April 7, a move set to further scientific research in both countries. The ceremony was held at President Reuven Rivlin’s Jerusalem residence. The Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities was represented by its president, Prof. Nili Cohen, while the American National Academy of Sciences was represented by its president, Prof. Marcia McNutt. “Today marks the beginning of an official partnership between our national academies, in the hope of many more decades of mutual collaboration,” Rivlin said. “The friendship between our two countries is deep and long-lasting. Israel and the US are at the forefront of scientific research, each in its own right.
