Thanks for posting....   You could certainly see the effect this had on the men even to today.  
There were a number of Khe Sahn participants that had survived and made it back into my unit after I got out of OCS.  

1968 was the big years of casualties for the Marines.  I had heard that 50% of the officers in the class a year before mine were casualties.   Fortunately by my time to rotate over there the USMC was cutting back involvement significantly.
