White House enlists kitty, piglet, duckling to pitch Obamacare

Move over, Bill Clinton and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius.

The White House has an even better promoter for Obamacare: a kitty colored Obama-campaign blue.

The White House this week tweet-endorsed the kitty mascot of the “Adorable Care Act,” Twitter and Tumblr accounts that feature cute animals purring about the Affordable Care Act. The symbol for the Adorable Care Act is a light blue kitty head topped by the letters “ACA.”

 

White House spokesman Jay Carney said on Thursday, "Any way that we can get out the basic facts to Americans about the options available to them for the first time is worth trying.” He added that “everybody loves cute animals."
