She required a hip replacement and has been hospitalised several times since.Frederic Prince von Anhalt, her husband, told the website TMZ.com that a blood clot in her leg had spread and that she urgently needed surgery.He said she was advised by a doctor to have the procedure before Christmas, but had refused, saying that she wanted to be at home for what could be her last holiday.
