At a fundraiser attended by Superbad director Judd Apatow, Speaker Pelosi and other liberal stalwarts, President Obama proudly declared that he and Congressional Democrats have “passed the most progressive legislation in decades,” according to the Hill. "We have been able to deliver the most progressive legislative agenda -- one that helps working families -- not just in one generation, maybe two, maybe three," the President said. As the Monday Night Football crew over at ESPN would say, “C’Mon Man!” The American people aren’t interested in President Obama’s and Speaker Pelosi’s trophy case of liberal accomplishments; they want a responsible government focused on job growth and deficit reduction at a time of incredible economic uncertainty. Why is this so hard to grasp?

Not even Jimmy Carter was this tone-deaf. And now I'm convinced that however bad the RAT losses are in November, he'll never pull a Clinton move to the center because he's too arrogant and Socialistic to do it.

Zero can't move to the center. In Clinton's case, growing up in Arkansas, he experienced the center, and the right. Ovomit, however, has experienced neither. Having spent his entire life surrounded by leftists, socialists and avowed communists, he doesn't know anything else. Without TOTUS, he can't even speak to the center, or the right.

Also, Bill and Hillary have some conservative friends and many Republican friends, even now. So they are able to keep from demonizing them on a personal level even when they are not above demonizing them on a public level (ie: VRWC)

 

I am not convinced that Obama has ever had any Republican friends, let alone conservative friends. Come to think of it, I'm not sure he has many actual friends at all.
