Antifa Documentary To Debut Online Following Premiere Cancellation

A documentary exposing Antifa that was set to premiere during Milo Yiannopoulos’ derailed “Free Speech Week” event at UC Berkeley was cancelled, and will instead be debuting online for free.

Titled “America Under Siege: Antifa,” the film was scheduled to oopen during Milo Yiannopoulos’ “Free Speech Week” event at UC Berkeley on Monday, which was cancelled by the university late last week. It will now be making its debut online on YouTube and Facebook, among other platforms.

The documentary, produced by Capital Research Center, explores the violent threats of the far-left, extremist movement known as Antifa. The movement has grown throughout the United States in response to Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration.

At its heart, Antifa is an inherently left-wing movement based on Marxist, anarchist, and anti-capitalist ideals.

Despite Yiannopoulos’ brief appearance at Berkeley on Sunday, in which he was present for less than an hour, it reportedly cost the collegeover $800,000 in security fees to prevent a repeat of February’s Antifa riot against Yiannopoulos.

The cancellation of the event resulted in the documentary’s premiere. Capital Research Center, which produced the film, put out a Saturday press release announcing their disappointment with the outcome.

“The disruption of the film’s premier is extremely disappointing,” the statement read. “Worse, it is a major blow to the First Amendment right to free speech. Let’s be clear: Antifa shut down a film screening criticizing their own extremism by using fear.”
