clock-ticking-islamophobia-robert-spencerFront Page Magazine: THE CLOCK IS TICKING ON 'ISLAMOPHOBIA' “If you see something, say something” – unless the suspicious person is a Muslim.

September 18, 2015 Robert Spencer 37

Of all the people arrested over the past week, only Ahmed Mohamed of Irving, Texas was invited to the White House as a result. This is because Mohamed is fourteen years old, and a Muslim, and was arrested because of rampant “Islamophobia” in the U.S. – or at least so goes the media narrative that Barack Obama has eagerly abetted by issuing his invitation.

The facts of the case are not in dispute; only the intention behind them is. Mohamed built a working clock over the last weekend, and decided to take it school to show it to an engineering teacher. The problem was that it didn’t look like a conventional clock. Instead, it was a mess of wires and other gadgets mounted in a briefcase, and looking suspiciously like the briefcase bombs that have figured in countless movies and TV shows.

Questioned by teachers and then by police, according to WFAA: “officers said Ahmed was being ‘passive aggressive’ in his answers to their questions, and didn’t have a ‘reasonable answer Scissors-32x32.png

Did Ahmad Really Build a DIY Clock, Or Did He Just Take a Commonly-Available Radio Shack Alarm Clock Out of Its Case and Stick It In a Pencil-Box? —Ace

And if so, in what sense is this an "invention," let alone one worth showing of to anybody?

You know what bothered me? That he kept calling this 'his invention." Anyone with any kind of science knowledge would know he had not made "an invention." He would say "my experiment" or "my DIY clock." He wouldn't keep claiming that he "invented" something that has been on the market for like 50 years.

Obama Should Stand With Ahmed—at His Mosque in Texas

The president has yet to visit an American mosque. Ahmed Mohamed’s ordeal is the perfect opportunity to launch a new fight against anti-Muslim bigotry.

By Ali GharibTwitter YESTERDAY 3:45 PM
On Monday afternoon, an unassuming kid—a nerd, a geek, with his glasses and his NASA shirt—was led away from his Irving, Texas, school in handcuffs, for all his classmates to see. A perp walk. His crime was building something that, in the wild imaginations of a security-paranoid society, might be misconstrued as a bomb or, as the police who arrested the young student suggested, a “hoax bomb.” “He kept maintaining it was a clock, but there was no broader explanation,” a police spokesman said, apparently still unsatisfied with the notion that a kid with an engineering hobby would build a homemade device just for telling the hour. By the time of the city officials’ press conference, the story had become a national embarrassment for Irving, for the schools, the politicians, and the police—and yet the department’s spokesman could not fully grasp the simple truth before him. Yeah, this sure looks like a setup. He hooked up a circuit board, display and power supply probably available as a kit and then for some strange reason decided to put it in a small suitcase and tied the handle with cable.... There is no invention here (although not sure how many 9th graders these days can read instruction and hookup 3 parts...). Why put it in a suitcase versus just mount it on a board with display showing. Sure seems like he wanted it to look like a bomb one sees on TV shows. He also evidently said he tied the handles shut with cable because a lock would make it look too suspicious. If so he knew what he was doing.

Suspicious Pop-Tart guns versus scientific suitcase clocks

By Jeannie DeAngelis

In an effort to assuage what is perceived to be the fragile sensibilities of Muslim-Americans, Barack Obama has once again bowed to political correctness by extending his usual partiality toward an individual based solely on skin color and religion.

This time, the person at the center of the controversy is Ahmed Mohamed. Ahmed is the 14-year-old Sudanese- American aspiring clockmaker who has proven to be bright enough to impress his teachers with his engineering prowess – but apparently not bright enough to know that bringing a homemade digital clock to school with wires snaking out of it, stored inside a suitcase (or briefcase, if you will), isn’t a good idea.Scissors-32x32.png

Was Texas clock-bomb hoax targeted at mayor who opposed sharia court?
Posted on September 19, 2015 by creeping

It was targeted at all Americans…that aren’t Muslim.

via If It Walks Like an Influence Operation…

The more we learn about the facts surrounding the events in Irving, Texas this week, the more it seems we’ve been bamboozled.

It appears, the “clock” Mohamed brought to school this week was not the first of his circuit boards to look ominously like an improvised explosive device trigger. In fact, a photograph of one circulated by the Dallas Morning News was virtually indistinguishable from a circuit board used in a commercially available device used to train law enforcement and military personnel regarding how to identify IEDs.

There is, moreover, now growing evidence that these creations were not even those of the geeky freshman. See Reverse Engineering Ahmed Mohamed’s Clock and Ourselves on Artvoice.com and Thomas Talbot’s YouTube video. Yep. Just took the guts of a clock radio and made it look like a suitcase bomb....

From the article, they pretty much prove that is the clock used, he just took it apart and put it in a suit case. Did not even order separate parts and put them together.

From the link:

Ahmed is also the son of Sufi Dallas imam Mohamed Elhassan, who once ran for the presidency in Sudan on the platform that, if elected, he would lift sanctions the U.S. imposed on Sudan in the late 1990s because of that nation’s alleged sponsorship of terrorism. Mr. Elhassan was also embroiled in controversy when he acted as a defense attorney on behalf of the Quran when Florida Pastor Terry Jones threatened to burn the Islamic holy book.

Mohamed Elhassan, who calls himself a sheik, now has a son who in his own right has become an overnight social media sensation by managing to register on Barack Obama’s racial injustice radar.

When is America going to get serious about the problem of white kids getting suspended from school for nothing?

By now you’ve heard the story of Ahmed Mohamed, crowned by the Daily Beast “The Muslim Hero America Has Been Waiting For” after the 14-year-old brought to school a beeping, strange-looking homemade concealed device that turned out to be a clock.

School officials, thinking, as 95% of Americans would, that it kinda looked like a bomb, hauled him out of class. Police put him in handcuffs and, even after the confusion passed, the boy was suspended from school.

That earned Mohamed a planned trip to the White House, a message of support from Hillary Clinton, an offer to stop by Facebook to meet Mark Zuckerberg and an invitation to be an intern at Twitter.

Maybe little Ahmed should be re-arrested for his ‘Islamophobia’ hoax
Was this a set-up by Ahmed’s anti-Islamophobia activist father? Was designated terrorist group CAIR behind this hoax to take the heat off Islamic terrorism and Muslim invasions of the EU? As Barack Hussein Obama would have put it if this kid were anything but a Muslim, “You didn’t build it, Ahmed.”
IStandWithAhmed-1.jpgLittle Ahmed, the so-called Muslim boy ‘genius,’ didn’t invent anything, Scissors-32x32.pnghttp://www.barenakedislam.com/2015/09/20/maybe-little-ahmed-should-be-re-arrested-for-his-islamophobia-hoax/

Among the Ahmed Truthers

By ROD DREHERSeptember 22, 2015, 6:57 AM

A geek reverse-engineers Ahmed’s clock, and concludes that he didn’t even build the thing, but rather took the guts out of a ’70s or ’80s era digital clock, put them in a pencil box, and tried to pass it off as his own. Excerpt:

I found the highest resolution photograph of the clock I could. Instantly, I was disappointed. Somewhere in all of this – there has indeed been a hoax. Ahmed Mohamed didn’t invent his own alarm clock. He didn’t even build a clock. Now, before I go on and get accused of attacking a 14 year old kid who’s already been through enough, let me explain my purpose. I don’t want to just dissect the clock. I want to dissect our reaction as a society to the situation. Part of that is the knee-jerk responses we’re all so quick to make without facts. So, before you scroll down and leave me angry comments, please continue to the end (or not – prove my point, and miss the point, entirely!)

For starters, one glance at the printed circuit board in the photo, and I knew we were looking at mid-to-late 1970s vintage electronics

If You See Something, (think hard before you) Say Something

By Brian C Joondeph

The Department of Homeland Security created a national campaign called, “If you see something, say something.” The purpose is to, “raise public awareness of the indicators of terrorism and terrorism-related crime, as well as the importance of reporting suspicious activity to state and local law enforcement.” The goal is to keep the nation safe. Police can’t be everywhere so they expand their surveillance by borrowing the eyes and ears of the general public.

This is similar to the neighborhood watch program, “Bringing citizens together with law enforcement to deter crime and make communities safer.” Are these systems perfect? Of course not. Mistakes will be made on occasion. These take two forms. Errors of commission are over-reading a situation, leading to an unnecessary arrest or detention. Errors of omission are the opposite, assuming an activity is harmless when in actually it is criminal or dangerous.

Teenager Ahmed Mohamed, in Irving, Texas, brought a “home made” clock to school to show his teacher. His teacher was concerned that it might be a bomb.

Sweet @righteousmomma! @Draggingtree! @clearvision!

If we examine the phenomena of the innocent Islamic clockster....at the base, we find the fatal flaw and the nadir of progressivism.

Liberals have a collective societal death wish that has been aptly demonstrated by the slow destruction of Liberal governed cities like Detroit, Chicago & most recently, Baltimore.

They invite destruction by their ignorant superiority.

In the face of local terrorism, which affects all citizens....we have a large silly segment that can mumble, "See something, say something," while simultaneously adulating the "innocent" Muslim son of an activist Muslim "sheik" that constructed a "clock" out of stuff laying around his bedroom, and brought it to school for a "science project"....and then lambaste our police officers for correctly using their intellect.

Anybody feel like a beer with Obama?

(BTW-Lost in all this, is the fact that there was no science assignment.)

Instead; a bald faced attempt to inure Americans to their own lax sense of security, becomes the launching pad for a young man employed as a tool for Islam's political gain.

We see most Muslim immigrants choose to not fully assimilate into American society. Like angry & aggressive Klingons Amish....without the self-sufficiency & God loving piety. Asked plainly what they would choose....sharia or constitutional law....they choose sharia law....a rigid religious theocratic construct from the 7th century.

Why, when Christians (compatible with our society) are being martyred in the Middle East & Africa; should we choose to admit Muslims?

Liberals believe in enlightened government by man. There is little or no room for God in the precepts by which they allow themselves to be "ruled." Instead, elite benevolent figures are chosen, and the yard-stick they use to issue their commandments, is political correctness. There is no room for common sense; or even that primitive subliminal urge called, self-preservation. All must kneel before the altar of man created ideals....regardless if they have not only failed miserably...but resulted in the death of millions. It is the distillation of socialist "feel good" ideas. There is no room for the nobility of man, perfected by God given talent, industriousness, free will & charity for those less fortunate out of principled love for others.

Muslims freely espouse our destruction & even boast that the flag of sharia will fly from the White House. Our present society welcomes them with open arms.

Their plan is Hijra, the Muslim concept of domination by immigration, increased birth rates & the destruction of the social safety net.

Goodbye, Europe! Goodbye America!

They are cheered & invited to see the pResident....where his inner circle contains Muslims that control critical aspects of our executive government.

Here's to that 14 year old boy & his "science" aptitude!

Let him matriculate to NASA....a program that Obama has proclaimed, as a vehicle for Muslims.

May he fly away to Mars & beyond, using his own "science!"

6 Unanswered Questions About Ahmed Mohamed’s Clock

It’s reasonable and even necessary to be a bit skeptical of extraordinary stories such as the one about Ahmed Mohamed getting hauled out of school for making a clock.

By Daniel Payne SEPTEMBER 23, 2015

In just over a week, the Ahmed Mohamed clock controversy has become a global phenomenon: the young man brought a homemade clock to school and was subsequently arrested because school officials thought it looked like a bomb, leading to a worldwide outcry and hundreds of thousands of tweets, articles, and words of praise for the boy from Irving, Texas.

Ahmed has received commendation from the likes of Google, Facebook, Twitter, and even the president of the United States. Just recently, his family announced they will meet dignitaries at the United Nations; later, after a jaunt to Mecca in Saudi Arabia, they hope to meet with President Obama. Scissors-32x32.png

The Strange Story of Ahmed Mohamed & His Suspiciously Bomb-Like Clock

by Debra Heine

September 22, 2015 - 4:20 pm

Irving Texas Mayor Beth Van Duyne made news on Glenn Beck’s The Blaze TV show Monday night regarding the strange case of “clock-boy” Ahmed Mohammed.

Ahmed is the 14-year-old freshman from Irving, Texas, who ran into trouble with school and police authorities when he brought a clock to school that looked suspiciously like a briefcase bomb. Ahmed claims to have “invented” the clock and brought it to school to show his shop teacher.

Here is a video demonstration of someone putting together a clock like the one Ahmed brought to school

Clock Kid’s Older Sister Claims She Was Suspended After Being Accused Of Making A Bomb Threat In Middle School
http://www.weaselzippers.us/235034-clock-kids-older-sister-was-suspended-for-bomb-threat-when-she-was-in-middle-school/

Clockster Sis, Eyman:

After the MSNBC segment, Eyman and I sit down in the hallway where she says the same thing happened to her as Ahmed.

“I got suspended from school for three days from this stupid same district, from this girl saying I wanted to blow up the school, something I had nothing to do with.”

Eyman talks with the slightest lisp, almost imperceptible, but it becomes stronger as she gets emotional.

“I got suspended and I didn’t do anything about it and so when I heard about Ahmed, I was so mad because it happened to me and I didn’t get to stand up, so I’m making sure he’s standing up because it’s not right. So I’m not jealous, I’m kinda like—it’s like he’s standing for me.”

Eyman said her suspension was in her first year of middle school, “my first year of attempting middle school in America. I knew English, but the culture was different, the people were different.”
