Ghislaine Maxwell’s defense attorneys on Monday portrayed her as a scapegoat being accused  because of “the bad behavior of men,”  — one in particular — since prosecutors never had a chance to put late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein on trial.

Her lawyer, Bobbi Sternheim, invoked the Bible at the start of her opening statement, arguing that women have been condemned for crimes committed by men  since the beginning of time.

“Ever since Eve was accused of tempting Adam with the apple,” said Sternheim. “Women have been blamed for the bad behavior of men.”

“Ghislaine is on trial here and you heard about the conduct of Jeffrey Epstein. She is filling that hole. And filling an empty chair,” said Sternheim, adding that her client was a “convenient stand-in” for the dead sex offender.

Ghislaine Maxwell and powerful pedophile Jeffrey Epstein were “partners in crime” and she was an “essential” part of his scheme to prey on underage girls, prosecutors charged Monday, the first day of the accused madam’s hotly anticipated trial.

The feds began laying out their case against the fallen 59-year-old British socialite, charging that she coaxed and manipulated children to satisfy Epstein’s sick sexual desires and secure her position of wealth and power.

“The defendant and Epstein lured their victims with the promise of a brighter future — only to sexually exploit them and forever change their lives,” Assistant US Attorney Lara Pomerantz told jurors in Manhattan federal court.

Epstein's 'Lolita Express' pilot tells court Bill Clinton and Donald Trump both flew on board

The pilot of Jeffrey Epstein's infamous "Lolita Express" private jet testified Tuesday that former Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump were VIP passengers, the former on multiple occasions.

The court on Day Two of Ghislaine Maxwell's criminal sex trafficking trial heard how a litany of famous names, including Prince Andrew , actor Kevin Spacey, multiple U.S. senators, and tech mogul Bill Gates , flew on board the Boeing 727.

Lawrence Paul Visoski Jr. testified that in some cases, "special catering" was arranged.

In the case of Clinton, Visoski said he would be told in advance if he would be flying on Epstein's jet.

A longtime pilot for the late financier Jeffrey Epstein resumed his testimony at Ghislaine Maxwell's sex trafficking trial Tuesday, saying that the British socialite charged with helping him find teenage girls to sexually abuse them was "No. 2" in the hierarchy of Epstein's operations. 

Lawrence Paul Visoski Jr. is the first witness in the sex trafficking trial of Maxwell, 59, a woman who traveled for decades in circles that put her in contact with accomplished and wealthy people before her July 2020 arrest. 

Asked where Maxwell stood in the hierarchy of Epstein's world, Visoski said Maxwell "was the No. 2." He added that "Epstein was the big No. 1."

Jurors shown Epstein’s massage table, ‘Twin Torpedo’ sex toy during Ghislaine Maxwell trial

A number of key pieces of evidence in the Ghislaine Maxwell trial were shown to jurors for the first time Friday — including a massage table and a “Twin Torpedo” sex toy that were seized from Jeffrey Epstein’s Florida mansion in the early 2000s.  

The massage table from the multimillionaire pedophile’s Palm Beach estate was brought into the Manhattan courtroom and briefly examined by a police officer who testified Friday. 

The dark-green, collapsible table was shown to jurors as Assistant US Attorney Maruene Maurene Comey quizzed former Palm Beach Police officer Gregory Parkinson about a search warrant he and other cops executed at the estate in October 2005. 

Parkinson put on black disposable gloves and briefly examined the table in the middle of the courtroom, about 10 feet from where Maxwell sat with her defense attorneys.

NEW YORK — FBI agents found a cache of thick black binders — all labeled with names — that contain hundreds of naked or semi-naked photographs on CDs that Epstein stored in various places inside his 40-room Manhattan townhouse.

The labels on the binders were redacted from photos shown in court because prosecutors said they were names of “third parties” who are not relevant to the sex-trafficking case they are mounting against Epstein’s ex-girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, in a New York City courtroom.

Never-before-seen photographs taken by the FBI during a search following the financier’s July 6, 2019, arrest show several areas of Epstein’s gilded eight-story mansion, including the massage room where he allegedly sexually abused girls and young women.

 

A large safe containing more binders of CDs, cash, computer hard drives, diamonds and passports — was found. FBI agents left the house to obtain a warrant for the safe, but when they returned four days later everything from the safe was gone.

One of Epstein’s lawyers, Richard Kahn, later returned the items in two suitcases, according to FBI special agent Kelly Maguire, who supervised the raid. Maguire, a member of the FBI’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force, told the jury that agents searched overnight, into the next day before finding the safe buried in a closet in a third-floor dressing room.

They also found a drawer full of computer hard drives in a ground-floor office. Curiously, she noted that the hard drives they found were already marked with FBI evidence tape — indicating perhaps that they had already been used as evidence in another case.
