The Minneapolis-based retail giant announced Tuesday it will spend $100 million solely on “Black-led organizations” during the next four years. The investment is aimed at programs that “work to elevate Black voices,” and will “help fuel economic prosperity in Black communities across the country,” according to a blog post. “As one of the largest retailers in the U.S., we know we have the responsibility and opportunity to use our resources to help end systemic racism and accelerate economic prosperity for Black communities,” Amanda Nusz, senior vice president of corporate responsibility and president of the Target Foundation, explained. “With this commitment, we aim to support the next generation of Black talent, expand the impact of Black-led movements and voices, and create economic opportunity in Black communities across the country.” (Snip) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
