With all the demoralization, horror, and carnage we are witnessing in Afghanistan because of the Biden administration’s failure to properly and safely exit the country, many outlets are bypassing the Afghan Christian Church, which is now under threat of martyrdom

According to Open Doors’ World Watch List of the most dangerous countries for Christians, Afghanistan ranks Number 2 in the world. The Taliban has now taken over the country, making this already dangerous situation even more deadly.

From Christianity Today:

As most Americans absorbed the shock of the Taliban’s full takeover of Afghanistan over the weekend, officials at Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service followed the rapidly deteriorating situation with resignation, knowing it could have gone differently.

In May, leaders at LIRS, one of several faith-based agencies contracted with the US government to resettle refugees in the United States, sent a letter to the Biden administration requesting it remove Afghan civilians (and their families) who have worked with the US before its planned troop withdrawal.

This request has been lost in the bureaucratic maze of the State Department, and at this point it is like shouting into the void. The State Department cannot even manage to get out diplomats and American Embassy workers, let alone these particular refugees.:snip:

Taliban Going Door To Door Seeking Christians, Searching Through Phones For Bible App

What we are witnessing right now is the decimation of the country and people of Afghanistan. We are watching twenty years of work and the strengthening of a nation being destroyed in a single day.

The Taliban has a hit list of known Christians they are targeting to pursue and kill. The US Embassy is defunct and there is no longer a safe place for believers to take refuge. All borders to neighboring countries are closed and all flights to and from have been halted, with the exception of private planes. People are fleeing into the mountains looking for asylum. They are fully reliant on God, who is the only One who can and will protect them.

The Taliban are going door-to-door taking women and children. The people must mark their house with an “X” if they have a girl over 12 years old, so that the Taliban can take them. If they find a young girl and the house was not marked they will execute the entire family. If a married woman 25 years or older has been found, the Taliban promptly kill her husband, do whatever they want to her, and then sell her as a sex slave.

Husbands and fathers have given their wives and daughters guns and told them that when the Taliban come, they can choose to kill them or kill themselves—it is their choice.:snip:
