Geee
Fox News As a 20-year member of Congress and four-year Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, let me speak bluntly and directly. Speaker Nancy Pelosi is the greatest threat to constitutional liberty in our lifetime. With the passive support of an apparently cowardly caucus, she is behaving as a dictator more like Fidel Castro, Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin, or Nicolás Maduro. Pelosi ordered and kept the fencing around the U.S. Capitol for months – even when members of her own party were calling for it to come down. She stripped a duly elected Republican of all her committee assignments. In recent weeks, she has dictated to the minority party what members it can have on a bipartisan commission. Now, she is threatening to have members of Congress and their staffs arrested if they do not follow the mask mandate which exists by her own decree. (I am not aware of a Speaker ordering members arrested since 30 members broke into a brawl on the House Floor over the Kansas Territory’s pro-slavery Lecompton Constitution in 1859.) If her power, arrogance, and destructiveness is allowed to continue growing, she will shatter the precedents of the U.S. House, undermine hundreds of years of common legislative precedent going back to the Magna Carta of 1215, and the destroy the established principle that those who write laws are still subordinate to them. Geee
"Pelosi’s Subway" -- Bay Area Rapid Transit Subway Extension Now Costs $6.9 Billion A San Francisco Bay Area subway extension originally estimated to cost $4.7 billion now has a $6.9 billion price tag and its start date has been pushed back three to four years. The project to extend Bay Area Rapid Transit service through downtown San Jose will cost more than $1 billion per mile. The project is requesting $1.7 billion in federal funding. Congress has already provided $225 million. U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) gave the U.S. Department of Transportation a July 2021 Squeal Award “for allowing taxpayers to be taken for a ride on this gravy train that is billions over budget.” Furthermore, Ernst authored a bill that would prohibit spending federal money on transportation projects where cost overruns exceed $1 billion. Congressional Democrats tried to insert a $141 million earmark into the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 in March. Republicans called the project the "Pelosi Subway" and the earmark was eventually scrapped. Congress is currently debating the infrastructure bill and pork is back on the table. Valin
@Geee Dirty Little Secret Time. NO Mass Transit System in America comes Close to breaking Even. Example The Light Rail system here in the twin cities (I call it the Choo Choo Train). It cost $20.00 for each passenger to go from the Air port to down town. Actual Fare? $5.00. Getting mugged...free of charge.

Amtrack is 19th-early 20th century technology. 2. Big cities run these big Buses, that can carry 50-60 people at a time. 90% of the time maybe 10 people in them. Another problem Routes. When I drove to work it was 10 minutes. If I took the bus 3 hours. Most jobs now are in the suburbs not in downtown/inner city. Also its geared toward people who work Day Shift Mon.-Fri. Many manufacturing/warehouse companies now operate 24/7. That's why a lot of Temp companies now have their own minivans, because at 11 PM in Bloomington Mn. No Bus Service Also Safety. There are certain route at certain times You Don't Ride Them...unless you want to be mugged.
