The criminal-justice system has become the criminal’s justice system in cities across America.

I

n recent years, radical left-wing lawyers, many supported by billionaire George Soros, have won elected office across America. They have become district attorneys and state’s attorneys in many major American cities. These so-called Soros prosecutors, or progressive prosecutors, have betrayed the public trust and made our communities less safe. Instead of fighting crime, they are abetting it.

Soros prosecutors are refusing to charge criminals for shoplifting, vagrancy, and entire categories of misdemeanors. In Chicago, Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx allows theft under $1,000 to go unpunished. In Manhattan, District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. refuses to enforce laws against prostitution. In Baltimore, State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby has unilaterally declared the war on drugs “over” and is refusing to criminally charge drug dealers and heroin addicts, in the middle of the worst drug crisis in American history. For a time, Los Angeles DA George Gascon even stopped enforcing laws against disturbing the peace, resisting arrest, and making criminal threats.:snip:

How to Hold Soros Prosecutors Accountable

Across the country, well-funded progressives are snapping up local public prosecutor jobs and using them to exercise dramatic power over the criminal justice system. A recent report offers a way to hold some of these little-attended candidates accountable: turn up the turnout in their races by aligning them with national elections.

"Progressive prosecutors" like Philadelphia's Larry Krasner and San Francisco's Chesa Boudin have swept to power thanks in part to generous funding, particularly from liberal billionaire George Soros. But they've also benefited from running in little-scrutinized local elections, which are relatively cheap and suffer from dramatically low turnout because they do not happen at the same time as national elections.:snip:

The story gripping America is violent crime.

It is the most important story out there now, and nurtured by woke rogue prosecutors in big cities across the country, many of them supported by leftist billionaire George Soros and other wealthy political donors like him.

From murders to mob action, to those videos of looters and smash-and-grabs in high-end retail outlets right before Christmas, from innocents, including bus drivers beaten to a pulp by street mobs, to politicians blaming the victims and the citizens avoiding the downtowns out of fear. It’s all of a piece.

The increase of violent crime is the number one issue in America. People might not talk about it publicly at work, lest they be accused of some social sin. But they do talk about it when they’re alone, in their cars, in their homes, at dinner with their families. You can see it in headlines across the nation, including this one just the other days from ABC News::snip:

Cities Will Set Murder Records Because of 'Soros Effect'

On Nov. 21, six lives were senselessly taken as a deranged SUV driver intentionally mowed down scores of people attending a Christmas parade in the quiet Wisconsin town of Waukesha. The alleged assailant, Darrell Brooks, 39, was a registered sex offender who had been arrested 21 days prior for allegedly running over the mother of his child and then released on a shockingly low $1,000 bail.

Why was Brooks on the loose? Longtime Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm holds what many in the law enforcement community consider a radical belief in setting low bail amounts for even highly violent arrestees. As he told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel when taking office in 2007: “Is there going to be an individual I divert, or I put into treatment program, who’s going to go out and kill somebody? You bet. Guaranteed. It’s guaranteed to happen. It does not invalidate the overall approach.”:snip:

Fighting Crime the Soros Way

The loony-left donor is bankrolling criminal-allied district attorneys and building a bodycount.

Last week in Philadelphia, during an episode which is predictably all too common in that city and lots of others like it, a rampaging looter invaded a pizzeria and sought to pillage the contents of its cash register.

What happened next was a slice of old-fashioned America.

Dramatic surveillance video captured the moment a 14-year-old boy pulled out a handgun and shot a robber in the face as he tried to steal cash from the family’s pizzeria in Philadelphia.

The violent confrontation in the City of Brotherly Love took place about 9:30 p.m. Dec. 9 at Bold Pizza on Spring Garden Street, where one of three men who had just robbed a nearby CVS pharmacy entered the pizza joint, according to WPVI.

The footage shows the robber reaching over the cash register and tussling with the clerk before her son pulls out the gun and opens fire.

Police followed a trail of blood that led them to the suspect at a subway station about three blocks away, NBC Philadelphia reported. The man was taken to Jefferson Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

Everything about the incident is as one would expect. The elements of it line up fully, such that anyone paying attention ought to say, “Yep. This is what you get.”

The robber will live the rest of his life with a face resembling a pepperoni and sausage pie. The Usual Suspects will demand “social justice” after seeing the effects of frontier justice.

And what passes for law enforcement in Philadelphia will slink to the sidelines having not much to say about the effects of the utter lawlessness which has taken hold of that city.

Like in Milwaukee, San Francisco, St. Louis, New Orleans, and many others where high-profile mayhem has taken hold, Philadelphia’s district attorney is a Marxist buffoon named Larry Krasner who is in office in large measure because he was backed by the left-wing financier and essentially-perfect James Bond villain George Soros. The latter has made it a personal project, after corrupting America’s elections through similar attempts to elect revolutionaries to Secretary of State positions around the country a decade or so ago, to install pro-criminal district attorneys in major and mid-sized cities across America.

In 2017 when Krasner was elected, a Soros-affiliated PAC dumped an unprecedented $1.7 million into the race for his benefit. Nobody had ever spent that kind of money in a Philly DA race before. But it was nothing for Soros.:snip:

I'm surprised the kid wasn't arrested and charged.

Most people pay very little attention to these Down Ticket races (*DA, AG, School Board, Judges, Library Board, etc)  This is way Soros has been so successful at getting people who agree with his Progressive ideology in these offices. I'm thinking/hoping/praying this will change over the next 2 election cycles.

* Forgot Secretary of State. Very important in Who gets to vote, and Who Counts The Votes.
