Jeremy Brown Sentenced to 7 Years and 3 Months in Prison for Refusing to Work as an Undercover Operative for FBI on January 6 and Then Later Releasing Audio of His Meeting with FBI

In March of 2021, Jeremy Brown began speaking out about how the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) contacted him in December 2020 and attempted to recruit him to spy on patriots and everyday Americans on January 6th.

In December 2020 FBI agents contacted Jeremy Brown at his home for “posting some things online.”

Jeremy later released video surveillance of the FBI contacting him at his home. And Jeremy then later released an audio recording of his actual meetup with the FBI.

Jeremy struggled for months about whether or not to go public with this information. But according to his Facebook page“After listening to politicians and the FBI Director, Chris Wray, tell lie after bald-faced lie to the American People, he could not stay silent any longer.”:snip:

At Least 50 Undercover Officers and Informants Monitored Proud Boys, Jan. 6 Crowds, New Court Filing Says

Previously undisclosed officers cited in defense motion for mistrial

Up to a dozen previously undisclosed undercover Metropolitan Police Department officers were embedded in the crowds on Jan. 6—including one who admitted joining in protester chants to “stop the steal”—according to an April 10 court filing in the Proud Boys seditious-conspiracy trial.

A motion for mistrial filed by defense attorney Roger Roots said the additional undercover officers bring the number of police, agents, and informants embedded in Jan. 6 crowds to at least 50.

He had filed an April 5 motion in the case that estimated the number to be 40.

Roots, who represents Proud Boys defendant Dominic Pezzola, asked U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly to declare a mistrial based on “numerous, repeated and yet-unfolding” instances where exculpatory evidence was withheld by federal prosecutors.

At an April 7 meeting with prosecutors, “the defense learned that there were at least 10 to 12 additional, previously unknown plainclothes MPD officers among the Proud Boys on Jan. 6,” Roots wrote.

“This brings the total number of informants among defendants on or around Jan. 6 to 50 or more,” he said. “And there are reasons to suspect the true number is higher.”:snip:

‘It’s Fairy Dust’: The Proud Boys Case Goes to Jury

The fate of five men who supported Trump and protested Joe Biden’s election on January 6 lies in the hands of

a biased D.C. jury.

marathon January 6 trial besieged by scandal, controversy, and acrimony is now in the hands of a Washington, D.C. jury. After nearly four months of back and forth, the government and defense attorneys made their final pitch during closing arguments this week in the multi-count case against five members of the Proud Boys.

The drama surrounding the trial, both inside and outside the courtroom, is worthy of a Netflix series: shocking revelations of numerous FBI informants, deleted government evidence, outbursts from the bench, colorful defense attorneys, last-minute accusations of an assault on police, a mysterious “attack plan” sourced to a former intelligence operative, and concerns over a jury stalker, to name a few.

At the center of the drama are innocent men held behind bars awaiting trial as the January 6 Select committee conducted televised hearings portraying the Proud Boys as one of the masterminds behind a “domestic terror attack” the Biden regime compares to 9/11.

Unfortunately, the public heard none of the proceedings firsthand as the D.C. courthouse refuses to allow call-in access for jury trials. (Props to Roger Parloff at Lawfare for his blow-by-blow coverage on Twitter.):snip:

BINGO We Have A Winner!

Federal (DOJ) prosecutors + *Judge Beryl Howell + Washington DC Jury (90% Democrat) = No chance in hell, of a fair trial.

Quote

“Howell seemed to freeze in her seat as the most senior jurist on the court, Judge Paul Friedman, publicly described her still-secret rulings in grand jury-related matters,” reporters Josh Gerstein and Kyle Cheney wrote on March 17. “[Her] fellow judges made clear they were as tantalized as the rest of the political world by Howell’s secret work presiding over grand juries that could lead to charges against former President Donald Trump.”

Howell sat “stone-faced” when Friedman teased how, “we’d all love to read her opinions, but we can’t.” Friedman also noted that Howell issued “100 secret grand jury opinions” as chief judge.

Tanya Chutkan, another Obama appointee, also chimed in. “There’s so much work Chief Judge Howell has done that we may never know about,” she joked.

Former FBI Agent Faces Charges Related To Capitol Riot: Authorities

Brandon Drey
May 3, 2023

The Justice Department charged a former FBI agent on Wednesday for unlawfully entering the U.S. Capitol for nine minutes and three other misdemeanor counts after allegedly threatening police during the riot on January 6, 2021, according to court documents.

Jared Wise, 50, who worked in the bureau from 2004 to 2017, was arrested on Monday for allegedly entering the Capitol after a mob breached the federal building where members of Congress were counting Electoral College votes to certify the 2020 presidential election.

According to court documents, video surveillance shows Wise entered the Capitol around 2:23 p.m. through the Senate wing door. Once inside, the former federal agent “clapped his hands and raised his arms in triumph” until he continued through the crypt and past the Memorial Door, FBI testimony says. He eventually exited through a window near the Senate wing at approximately 2:32 p.m., court documents say.

Less than two hours later, Capitol Police body-worn cameras captured footage showing Wise allegedly threatening authorities as some members of the crowd clashed with law enforcement.

“You guys are disgusting,” Wise said, according to court documents. “I’m former — I’m former law enforcement. You’re disgusting. You are the Nazi. You are the Gestapo. You can’t see it. . . . Shame on you! Shame on you! Shame on you!”

Pennsylvania Man Gets Over A Decade In Prison For Actions With Pepper Spray, Folding Chair On Jan. 6
Leif Le Mahieu
May 6, 2023

A 49-year-old Pennsylvania man was sentenced to over a decade in prison after he was convicted of assaulting police officers at the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Peter Schwartz was sentenced to 14 years in prison by U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta over his actions, which included pepper spraying and throwing a folding chair at a group of officers at the Capitol. The sentence is the longest so far for any of the January 6-related convictions.

Prosecutors had asked that Schwartz, a welder with previous convictions for violence and threats of violence, be locked up for 24 years, a sentence Schwartz’s lawyers vigorously opposed. Defense lawyer Dennis Boyle said that a 24-year sentence “would give credence to all those who consider this a political prosecution.”

Schwartz was arrested while working as a welder in Pennsylvania, but has said that Kentucky is his home.

J6 security failures mount as footage shows Capitol Police losing control of gear used against them

Intelligence forewarning of violence kept from decision makers. A plea for National Guard rejected. Security locks on a door deactivated, allowing rioters to flood into the Capitol. And now officers losing control of gear that then gets used against them

The evidence of serious security failures inside the Capitol during the Jan. 6, 2021 tragedy keeps mounting as House Republicans use their new found control to expose information that was suppressed by their Democrat counterparts' original investigation.

The latest bombshell surfaced Tuesday night when security obtained by Just the News revealed Capitol Police lost control of a yellow bag of law enforcement-like equipment, including plastic handcuffs that are immediately used by rioters to put officers in danger.:snip:

PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — A former Republican legislative candidate who traveled to Washington for former President Donald Trump's “Stop the Steal” rally was arrested Friday and charged with federal crimes for his role in the U.S. Capitol riot, officials said.

Matthew Brackley, 39, of Waldoboro, Maine, entered the the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, and asked for the location of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office before shouting, “Let’s go," according to prosecutors.

He was arrested on felony charges including assaulting, resisting or impeding certain officers and civil disorder, along with several misdemeanors. He made his initial court appearance on Friday.

It was not clear if Brackley had a lawyer, and he did not immediately respond to an email request for comment.

Brackley tried unsuccessfully to unseat Democratic state Sen. Eloise Vitelli of Arrowsic last year. His campaign website described him as a Maine Maritime Academy graduate whose approach would be to have “respectful, thoughtful conversations on the issues.”

Capitol Police officer Aquilino Gonell has claimed he was brutally beaten by Trump supporters in the January 6 Capitol riot. But new footage released by the Epoch Times appears to show Gonell walking around in the Capitol after the riot with no indication of any injury. Journalist Julie Kelly joins Glenn to review the footage and explain what she believed actually happened. Plus, she lays out why she believes another Jan. 6 committee is necessary: “January 6 is ground zero for turning the war on terror…against conservatives.”
