Draggingtree
Sour Dough Bread Recipe 1. Pour half your starter in a bowl ( then with a 1/2 cup flour and 1/4 cup water mix it back into your starter and put it back into the fridge ). This is a feeding, if you do not make bread for a while , just feed your starter once a week and it will stay good for years . If this feeding gets messed up it is very easy to fix. 2. In the bowl put 1 teaspoon salt, 2 tablespoons oil and add flour and water to make the size loaf you want, knead for a few minutes ( well mixed , good bread consistency). 3. Cover bowl with a towel and place in a warm place for 20-24 hours, check it once or twice as it rises. knead it to get the gas out. 4. Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees, Oil up a bread pan and place the dough in it and oil the top of the dough. Bake for 23-28 minutes or until golden brown or your preference. The bread should pop right out of the pan and cool on a rack 15 minutes and it is ready to eat.
