Republicans are hoping to see former FBI Director James Comey's inner circle face indictments, according to Rep. Devin Nunes.

Asked to respond to Comey saying “the Republican Party has to be burned to the ground, in some form or fashion," the House Intelligence Committee ranking member argued that Comey and his FBI, including agents still there today, are to blame for the GOP's problems and brought up special counsel John Durham's criminal inquiry into the Russia investigation.

"What the American people are waiting for and Republicans are waiting for is for John Durham to indict these guys and throw them in jail," he told Fox News host Jeanine Pirro in a segment that aired Saturday evening.

Durham, a U.S. attorney in Connecticut, was elevated to special counsel status by former Attorney General William Barr in October, providing extra protection against the Biden administration trying to shut down his investigation into the Russia probe that began under Comey's watch. So far, Durham has obtained one guilty plea from a former FBI lawyer.:snip:
