Geee
Maryland School District Requests ‘Anti-Racist Audit’ to Help Students ‘Resist Systems of Oppression’ Maryland's Montgomery County Public Schools district is requesting a "systemwide anti-racist audit" to determine whether it is doing enough to help students "resist systems of oppression." According to a "request for proposal" document obtained by the Washington Free Beacon, the school district is looking for a consultant "with deep knowledge and expertise in … racial equity" to examine the school district's culture, hiring practices, and pre-K-12 curriculum. The document requests that consultants investigate whether the district's curriculum "strengthens students' sense of racial, ethnic, and tribal identities, helps students understand and resist systems of oppression, and empower students to see themselves as change agents." It also asks if the district is taking a sufficiently "proactive approach" to issues of implicit bias, even though the racial makeup of the district is majority minority. Geee
How Modern Education Makes Good Little Marxists We cannot say we were not warned. Decades ago, in an article perhaps long forgotten, novelist and philosopher Ayn Rand gave an ominous warning on the state of American education at all levels, especially the ideologies and philosophies that were beginning to become pervasive within its university system. Whatever one may think of Rand's novels or personal character, an objective analysis of her work on educationspecifically displays her thoughts as unquestionably prescient. If one believes the infestation within universities and public classrooms of Critical Theory and other like minded disciplines is a recent phenomenon, brought to their attention by pushback and defunding from President Trump, one is mistaken. In her article "Cashing In: The Students Rebellion," Rand points out that universities in the 1960s began to become training centers for "activists," much like Marxist in the 1930s, who learned they could utilize legitimate current issues in order to manipulate the masses into cooperation, oblivious to the incoherent, illogical ideologies that compromised professors had effectively forced students to accept (Rand, 9). These activists would later plant themselves in education, media, and politics, or even serve as muscle on the streets to work toward indoctrinated ideological objectives. Geee
Super Woke Update: University Votes to Stop Calling Its English Department the ENGLISH Department On today’s episode of “This Just in From the No Longer Hallowed Halls of Academia,” we learn that “faculty members of color” at Cornell University in Ithica, New York, recently introduced a proposal to change the name of the school’s English Department, because “racism.” Earlier this month, as reported by The Cornell Daily Sun, a “significant majority of the department approved the change and is now awaiting approval from college administration.” I’ll go out on a limb and bet — how should I put this? — there isn’t a snowball’s chance the name change won’t be approved. Unanimously. And the department’s new name? Here’s how the Daily Sun put it: The new proposed name — “the department of literatures in English” — would mark a distinct change in the department’s branding, helping to eliminate what Director of Undergraduate Studies Prof. Kate McCullough, English, said was the “conflation of English as a language and English as a nationality.”

Geee
The Despicable Teachings on College Campuses - Walter E Williams The ugliness that we have recently witnessed—including rioting, billions of dollars of property destruction, assaults, murders, and grossly stupid claims about our nation—has its origins on college campuses. Two websites, College Reform and College Fix, report on the despicable teachings on college campuses across the nation. Let us look at some of it. In response to Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson’s tweeting that he supports “citizen soldiers” in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Tressie McMillan Cottom, a black professor at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill’s School of Information and Library Science, declared that “they have deputized all white people to murder us.” Jesse A. Goldberg, professor in the English department at Auburn University who teaches classes in African American literature, American literature, and composition, wrote a now-deleted post on Twitter, “F— every cop. Every single one.” Goldberg added, “The only ethical choice for any cop to make at this point is to refuse to do their job and quit.”

Geee
University of Wisconsin-Madison Considers Removing ‘Racist’ Boulder The University of Wisconsin-Madison may soon remove a 70-ton boulder that student activists claim is a symbol of the school's racist past. On Nov. 19, the university's Campus Planning Committee voted unanimously to recommend the removal of Chamberlin Rock, named after former university president Thomas Chrowder Chamberlin. The rock became a source of controversy when students found that a 1925 newspaper clipping called the rock a "n****rhead," a common term at the time for large, dark rocks. The university confirmed that the clipping was the only known instance of the term being used on campus. A university spokeswoman told the Washington Free Beacon that the planning committee's recommendation will be reviewed by Chancellor Rebecca Blank, who has already expressed support for the rock's removal, and the Wisconsin Historical Society. Geee
American High Schools Go Woke In July, the leadership of Los Angeles's elite Harvard-Westlake School issued a 20-page confessional about the school’s role in perpetuating "racism and injustice" and promised changes. The school, which sends dozens of kids to the Ivy League every year, will now teach 11th-grade U.S. history from a "critical race theory perspective." And diversity consultancies, which routinely charge six figures for their services, will facilitate the school's transformation at every step. On the East Coast, the wealthy Fairfax County public school district shelled out $20,000 for an hourlong speech from critical-race commentator Dr. Ibram X. Kendi. At one school in the district, faculty went further, disseminating "anti-racist" reading lists to parents and organizing students into "equity" committees. Dozens of schools across the country, both public and private, have taken similar steps. The perceived need to announce sweeping changes in leadership and curricula has been a boon to the growing diversity-consulting industry, which is designed to profit from racial discontent. Geee
Social Media Blitz Outs America-Hating Professors to Students and Alumni A cutting-edge social media campaign conducted in October by the conservative David Horowitz Freedom Center targeted and exposed the anti-American rantings of four professors at prestigious universities including the University of California-Davis, the University of Houston, the University of Mississippi, and the University of Washington-Seattle. The ivory tower has long been a refuge for those who hate our country. For decades past, students have been forced to endure scholarly lectures on the evils of American hegemony, imperialist dominance, Western civilization and festering racism. But never before in our history has the very concept of our nation—founded on our inalienable rights to life, liberty and property, equality before the law, freedom of speech, press and association, and control of individual destiny—been so trampled by the institutions that exist to educate our next generation. Spurred by this rising tide of anti-American hatred, the Freedom Center published a report and created a new website, AmericaHatingProfessors.org, exposing the Top Ten America-Hating Professors. With students and faculty evacuated from campus due to the virus, the Freedom Center conducted a targeted Facebook and Instagram campaign which displayed ads highlighting the atrocious statements and actions of these America-hating professors directly to students, faculty, staff, and alumni at four of the ten schools listed in the report.
