Pro-Life Advocate Blasts ACLU For Supporting Free Speech For Nazis While Attacking Pro-Lifers

Speaking with Tucker Carlson on Fox News on Wednesday, National Institute of Family and Life Advocates (NIFLA) president and founder Tom Glessner attacked the ACLU for failing to stand up for pro-life Americans’ free speech rights.

NIFLA is the named plaintiff in National Institute of Family and Life Advocates (NIFLA) v. Becerra, which the Supreme Court said it would consider earlier this week. NIFLA is challenging a 2015 California law forcing community-supported pregnancy centers and ultrasound-equipped medical clinics to post signs notifying women of the state’s Medi-Cal program that offers abortions and chemical birth control.

Glessner explained that whether people were pro-abortion or pro-life, they should oppose the law because it was an attack on free speech. He said, “The issue before the court is: Can the government be empowered to force a charitable, faith-based non-profit, or, for that matter, any group, to speak a message with which they fundamentally disagree, and if they fail to comply, fine them, issue penalties, and even close them down?”
