Geee
Congressional Shooter Recently Wrote, "It's Time To Destroy Trump & Co." The gunman who opened fire this morning on Republican congressmen and staffers recently declared in a Facebook post that, “It’s Time to Destroy Trump & Co.” The accused shooter, James T. Hodgkinson, 66, posted a link to a Change.org petition in late March that included the notation that, “Trump is a Traitor. Trump Has Destroyed Our Democracy. It's Time to Destroy Trump & Co.” Hodgkinson’s Facebook page includes numerous photos of Senator Bernie Sanders, whom Hodgkinson appears to have supported during the 2016 Democratic presidential primary. In posts last August, Hodgkinson wrote, “I want Bernie to Win the White House” and “Bernie is a Progressive, while Hillary is Republican Lite. Geee
Shooting At GOP Baseball Practice Latest In Pattern Of Violence Against Republicans The shooting at a congressional GOP baseball practice is just the latest in an escalating pattern of violence and intimidation against Republicans. James T. Hodgkinson opened fire on GOP lawmakers and staffers with a rifle on Wednesday morning as they prepared for the annual summer baseball game between Republicans and Democrats. The shooter wounded several victims, including House Majority Whip Steve Scalise and a staffer for Texas Rep. Roger Williams, before heroically being taken down by Capitol Police. If not for the attendance of Scalise — whose leadership position comes with a security detail — “it would have been a massacre,” said Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, who managed to avoid getting shot. “I felt like I was back in Iraq but without my weapon,” said Ohio Rep. Brad Wenstrup, a former combat surgeon. Hodgkinson’s social media profile revealed the 66-year-old was a left-wing Bernie Sanders supporter who believed President Trump is a “Traitor.” In one foreboding Facebook post in March, Hodgkinson wrote, “It’s Time to Destroy Trump & Co.”

Geee
Rep. Rodney Davis: Baseball shooting may have been 'the first political rhetorical terrorist act' Rep. Rodney Davis said Wednesday's shooting at the Republicans' congressional baseball practice may have been "the first political rhetorical terrorist act." Davis, still dressed in his clothes from practice, said there has got to be a "breaking point" in the heated political rhetoric in the country. "I went back to my office, and I took the chance to come down here because I wanted to talk to people about what I'd witnessed, and about the effect it should have as we move forward as a country, and that's why I'm here, bloodied in my uniform, still not had a chance to clean up because it's that important that a message gets out that the hatefulness — this political rhetoric hate, we'll let the witnesses describe, but this could be the first political rhetorical terrorist act and that has to stop." Geee
KILLING REPUBLICANS TO SAVE HEALTH CARE AND THE PLANET The Left’s incitement to violence leads to terrorism. The Democratic National Committee announced that Resistance Summer would begin in June. James Hodgkinson, a Bernie Sanders volunteer, delivered by opening fire on Republicans playing baseball. Hodgkinson had spent the weeks before the shooting staring at the site of his future attack and working on his laptop. What was he doing on his laptop? Ranting about Trump and Republicans. The left-wing terrorist who opened fire on Republicans practicing for a charity baseball game, an event to which they had brought their children, didn’t come up with his own ideas. His Facebook pages were dumpsters rotting with reposted left-wing hate. There was Bill Moyers' Resistance plan along with Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Rachel Maddow, Robert Reich and Noam Chomsky. They helped shape Hodgkinson’s conviction that Republicans had to be destroyed. Or as the title of a Facebook group that he belonged to put it, “Terminate the Republican Party.” James Hodgkinson did his best in a Virginia park. And he wasn’t a lone lunatic. Not by a long shot. Geee
‘Resist’ follower’s attack on Republicans signals grim breaking point of political tensions The “Resist” movement spawned a shooting rampage Wednesday morning that targeted Republican lawmakers — an attack by a self-declared anti-Trump crusader that underscored the poisonous tenor of modern American politics. While police were silent about a motive, the Republicans who came under fire as they practiced for a charity baseball game said they were certain they were targets because of their political party. And the gunman’s biography backs them. The shooter opened fire at a baseball field in Alexandria where the Republican team had been practicing for weeks, seriously wounding House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, a congressional staffer, a lobbyist and two U.S. Capitol Police officers from Mr. Scalise’s security detail. The officers returned fire and killed the gunman, identified as 66-year-old James T. Hodgkinson of Belleville, Illinois.
Draggingtree
Mika: I’m Not Blaming Trump “Squarely” for Scalise Shooting, But . . . Posted by Mark Finkelstein ▪ June 15, 2017 at 8:00am “this is the new added dynamic to what is a very dangerous climate” Yes, let’s all come together, hold hands, unite . . . and blame President Trump for the shooting of Steve Scalise and others yesterday. Morning Joe opened today with predictable pieties, Joe Scarborough saying, for example, that “the heated rhetoric in this country has to calm down.” But before the show’s first hour had ended, Mika Brzezinski turned the heat up to 11 by pointing the finger for the Scalise shooting in part at the president. An emotional Mika, after accusing President Trump of “promoting violence on the campaign trail,” continued: “I’m not putting anything squarely on the president, but I have to say that this is the new added dynamic to what is a very dangerous climate.”

Draggingtree
More Research on "Morning Joe" ...How did all this get swept under the carpet? Joe Scarbourgh is a fine example of the “Moral Republican leadership" that runs our country. He abruptly resigned his congressional seat when a young female staffer, Lori Klausutis, was found dead in his office under questionable circumstances. “According to Anna Dobbins, a producer at WEAR-TV, Joe was on the phone with the local ABC affiliate in Pensacola within three hours of the discovery of the body, and before the family was notified, to say that 'a young woman had died in his office and that she had a complicated medical history, specifically surrounding ’stroke and epilepsy.' The congressman and his advisor, Mick Serrano, made similar calls to two other local media outlets within hours of the body’s discovery.
