Geee
Brietbart: “Deep state” officials are withholding intelligence from President Donald Trump, despite the fact that he is the nation’s commander-in-chief, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal published Wednesday evening. Journal reporters Shane Harris and Carol E. Lee cite “current and former officials” who say that “U.S. intelligence officials have withheld sensitive intelligence from President Donald Trump because they are concerned it could be leaked or compromised.” The intelligence officials who are withholding the information are doing so because they fear that Trump could leak secrets to Russia, or because of political battles with the president, according to the anonymous sources cited in the Journal report. While the White House told the Journal that it does not believe agencies are withholding information, theoretically there would be no way for White House officials to know. The Office of Director of National Intelligence also disputed the claims. But if the report is true, it would compound growing suspicions that intelligence agencies are leaking classified information illegally to media outlets to damage and confuse the Trump administration. Geee
The Deep State Bumps Off General Flynn. Who’s the Next Target? The Deep State has done its dirty work, getting rid of Michael Flynn, the now-former national security adviser to President Trump. And so the MSM, having taken direction—even dictation—from the Deep State, is moving in for the kill. The ultimate target, of course, is Trump himself. The Washington Post, which has long hated Republicans, and Trump in particular, is leading the charge. On February 15, seven of the eight top stories on its online home page were anti-Flynn, anti-Trump—and, of course, pro-MSM. Let’s take a closer look: The Post seemed particularly proud of this moment-by-moment account, known in the trade as a “tick-tock”: “Flynn’s swift downfall: From a phone call in the Dominican Republic to a forced resignation at the White House.” And yet the Post was just getting warmed up. Here’s another headline: “Flynn episode ‘darkens the cloud’ of Russia that hangs over Trump administration.” From there, the Post moved on to stories emphasizing what it saw as chaos in the White House: “Flynn departure erupts into a full-blown crisis for the Trump White House.” And the paper added this bit of ominousness: “Senators from both parties pledge to deepen probe of Russia and the 2016 election.” The Post’s guiding idea, of course, is that responsible leaders on both sides of the aisle are horrified by Trump, and so they are contemplating appropriate action. http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/02/15/virgil-deep-state-bumps-off-general-flynn-whos-next-target/
Geee
GOP Missing the Real Elephant in the Room Taking a walk on the wild side, I happened upon MSNBC’s "Morning Joe" during my morning drive. Not my first choice in news, but my other favorite radio stations were on commercial break. Senator Bob Corker was being interviewed over the Michael Flynn resignation. Senator Corker asserted, “The base issue is getting to the bottom of what the Russian interference was and what the relationship was with associates of the Trump effort.” The proverbial “elephant in the room” as the senator described it. He also wondered if the White House would have the ability to, “stabilize itself.” He went further talking about “the American people counting on us to do big things this year.” He did briefly mention intelligence leaks, as a “subissue that needs to be dealt with” using his words. But then reiterated that Russian involvement was the “big issue.” Where to start? http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2017/02/gop_missing_the_real_elephant_in_the_room.html
Geee
EXCLUSIVE: How The Nation’s Spooks Played The Game ‘Kill Mike Flynn’ National Security Advisor Gen. Michael T. Flynn (ret.) — who resigned Monday — was the victim of a “hit job” launched by intelligence operatives, Obama government holdovers and former Obama national security officials, according to former intelligence officials who spoke with The Daily Caller News Foundation’s Investigative Group. The talk within the tight-knit community of retired intelligence officers was that Flynn’s sacking was a result of intelligence insiders at the CIA, NSA and National Security Council using a sophisticated “disinformation campaign” to create a crisis atmosphere. The former intel officers say the tactics hurled against Flynn over the last few months were the type of high profile hard-ball accusations previously reserved for top figures in enemy states, not for White House officials. “This was a hit job,” charged retired Col. James Williamson, a 32-year Special Forces veteran who coordinated his operations with the intelligence community http://dailycaller.com/2017/02/15/exclusive-how-the-nations-spooks-played-the-game-kill-mike-flynn/
Geee
FBI Randomly Releases Trump Real Estate Investigation Records From The 1970s The FBI on Wednesday released nearly 400 pages of records from an investigation it conducted on Donald Trump’s family real estate company in the early 1970s. The documents consist of interview notes, handwritten statements and FBI reports compiled during the bureau’s investigation, which occurred between 1972 and 1974. The FBI’s investigation centered on allegations that the Trump Management Company, which was owned by Trump’s father, Fred, discriminated against applicants for apartment rentals based on their race. The federal lawsuit was widely reported during the presidential campaign with Democrats using the case to argue that Trump, an executive with the company at the time, is racist. The Justice Department settled with Trump Management in 1975 with the company admitting no wrongdoing but agreeing to provide more rentals to minority applicants. http://dailycaller.com/2017/02/15/fbi-randomly-releases-trump-real-estate-investigation-records-from-the-1970s/
Geee
Media's Flynn-Russia Narrative Quickly Collapsing as FBI Reportedly Clears Former National Security Adviser The media narrative that recently ousted National Security Adviser Michael Flynn was involved in nefarious -- nay, sinister and possibly treasonous!!! -- dealings in his December call with the Russian ambassador is quickly collapsing, as CNN reports that the FBI will not be pursuing any criminal investigation involving Flynn's phone call. So too is the hype that the Trump campaign was riddled with contacts with Russian intelligence, as reported yesterday by The New York Times. https://pjmedia.com/homeland-security/2017/02/15/medias-flynn-russia-narrative-quickly-collapsing-as-fbi-reportedly-clears-former-national-security-adviser/
Geee
Former CIA Analyst: Yes, Former Obama Officials Were ‘Directly Involved’ In The Effort to Remove Flynn (And I'll Say Their Names) The fallout from the resignation of National Security Adviser Michael Flynn is not over. We have Russia, leaks, and palace intrigue about former Obama administration officials laying the foundation to topple Flynn, who was knows for being staunchly opposed to the Iran nuclear deal. Guy wrote a post about the allegations. Flynn misled the vice president, which alone is an act that warrants being shown the door. Yet, multiple writers, namely Damon Linker at The Week and Eli Lake at Bloomberg have noted another sinister angle to this story, which is the number of leaks of highly sensitive information coming from this administration. It appears as if the intelligence community is willingly leaking intercepted phone calls with Trump officials (Flynn) to hamstring the administration from governing. Linker is no fan of Flynn, but added that dissatisfaction with an administration is handled through things called elections. It is not the job of the America’s spies to sabotage the governance of whatever administration may be in power. Lake added that this could be just the beginning—and that more heads could roll (Conway, Bannon, maybe even the president himself). http://townhall.com/tipsheet/mattvespa/2017/02/15/former-cia-analyst-yes-former-obama-officials-were-directly-involved-in-the-effort-to-remove-flynn-and-i-can-name-those-people-n2286597
nickydog
So after the awful Republican primary, then the Hillary/Trump campaign, I continue to feel sick. Are Trump and his administration capable of fighting this? Of course the entire intelligence community is not out to get Trump but they need to weed out the ones who are. Valin
Just Doing Their Jobs To: The Star/TribuneFrom: Mitch Berg, Deplorable PeasantRe: You’re Not Even Trying To Deny It Anymore, Are You? Dear Strib: I’ll take the headline of this piece as a tacit – and, let’s be honest, redundant – admission that your paper isn’t so much a “journalistic” endeavor as a PR arm for the DFL. You’re taking run of the mill dissent, and romanticizing it (using a term that should never, ever be “romanticized”). I could say more – but that’d be pretty much bouncing the rubble, wouldn’t it? That is all
