Valin Posted July 26, 2016 Share Posted July 26, 2016 Friends of Ours: 7/26/16 aOrganized crime cannot exist without public corruption, and in 1932 New York mob bosses "Lucky Luciano, Frank Costello and Meyer Lansky all accompanied the Tammany Hall delegation" to the Democratic National convention in Chicago where they backed FDR after he promised not to target corrupt NYC politicians who protected the mob rackets as reported by James Cockayne for Salon: "as Luciano reportedly put it, 'I don't say we elected Roosevelt, but we gave him a pretty good push.'"
