Roger Ailes vs. the Liberal Sharks — But Which One Could Be Deadly?

The sharks are circling Fox News, much to the delight of Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, David Brock, George Soros, and most Democrats. If they get their bite on Fox, it will be the American people who will be bitten — that is, we will be the losers, because we will lose the one TV-news voice that gives the right a fair shake.

 

Of course, there’s no news in the fact that the left hates Fox: Its foes have desperately sought to destroy Ailes and the news channel since its inception back in 1996. The new question, one that will soon enough be answered, is whether Ailes has any enemies high up inside the parent company, 21st Century Fox.

 

In the meantime, the bombshell news is that, on July 6, former Fox anchor Gretchen Carlson filed a sexual-harassment suit against Ailes. But in fact, as we shall see, Carlson is not the real shark because her “bombshell” is, in fact, a total dud.

Horrendous stories are flying all over the net. Roger Ailes does a lot of charity work besides his work at Fox. I really really hope that this is not true. Whether it is or not, he will be tainted. Look what they did to Clarence Thomas. That is what this reminds me of.

What’s more, multiple sources inside the Fox News Channel tell Breitbart News that Carlson had a reputation in the building for treating staff and the so-called “underlings” like garbage. She would not talk much with staffers and acted in many ways “like a diva” who refused to even engage with anyone she looked at as “beneath her.”

“You can really tell a lot about a person when you see how they treat the staff,” one source said.

“She was mean to everyone inside the building and acted like the support staff were furniture,” another said.

A third added, “She wouldn’t even interact with people who helped put on her own show, and would constantly ignore them when they would come up to her. ‘I’m prepping. I’m prepping,’ she would say. So rude.”

I was here from the beginning with Roger. That's more than 20 years at Fox — years more when we were at CNBC together. That's about a quarter-century getting to know a guy, so I think I'm a pretty good judge of character. And seeing as I've just had open-heart surgery and deal with my share of illnesses, I'm free to speak my mind in a way and from a unique perspective others cannot.

In a way, my health challenges have been liberating. They allow me to speak my mind because, frankly, I have bigger personal worries. They free me to get past the clutter and nonsense. And all this stuff I've been reading about Roger is a lot of clutter and a lot of nonsense. None of it remotely matches the man I've come to know over these recent decades.

 

In individual meetings, those with staff members, and groups large and small — at Fox, at CNBC, with women and men, top executive producers to production assistants, all stripes, all colors, all personalities — Roger was and is ALL professional. He wants us to have fun, and he can be funny, but in ways that matter and not in demeaning nonsense that does not.

Exclusive — Fox News Stars Stand With Roger Ailes Against Megyn Kelly, More Than 50 Fox Contributors, All Primetime, Willing To Walk

 

CLEVELAND, Ohio — All of Fox News’ primetime lineup is willing to walk out of the network with chief executive and chairman Roger Ailes if he is pushed out by Rupert Murdoch and his family, Breitbart News has confirmed.

Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, Greta Van Susteren, Shepard Smith, Bret Baier, Eric Bolling, Neil Cavuto, Kimberly Guilfoyle, Laura Ingraham, Geraldo Rivera, Juan Williams, Jeanine Pirro, Bo Dietl, Monica Crowley, all of the Fox and Friends hosts, and at least 50 Fox News contributors are willing to depart the network if Ailes is ousted, and leave with him to form a new network, one of the network’s anchors told Breitbart News late Tuesday.

All of them stand against Megyn Kelly, and all of them stand with Roger Ailes.

 

This development, which has been confirmed to Breitbart News by multiple network sources, effectively boxes in those who want to remove Ailes. Either they can throw all in behind Megyn Kelly—in which case they would have to forfeit most of the rest of the network—or they can stand with the hardworking anchors and news personalities at Fox News.

 

“If Fox wants to become the ‘all about Megyn Network,’ that’s fine,” one top Fox News host said. “We stand with Roger. And real anger has emerged that the so-called Megyn incident happened 10 years ago. The consensus among the hosts and contributors is: ‘Why didn’t she say anything then? Really, the same woman that posed half naked in GQ? The same woman on Howard Stern saying what?’”

A second top Fox News Channel host told Breitbart News: “If Megyn Kelly wants to leave, we are fine with that. Good riddance.”
